Josie83 replied: I agree, my best friend had a baby the same time I had Cassie and her boyfriend nicked off when their daughter was eighteen so now she's a single parent, it is such a hard job and I admire all the men and women who do it so much! Its hard enough with a boyfriend or husband etc, so I can't imagine what its like by yourself! Sometimes when you fill on a form that you have a baby and you're living with someone but not married they assume you're a single parent, which I think is so insulting!! xx

Boys r us replied: I was a single mom with my first little guy for a few years. It was hard, I was in college, worked fulltime and did the mommy thing..so...I can empathize with you all that are single, it's hard..but those babies are oh so worth it!

McKayla'sMom replied: I am married (it was a year on July 18)...I am very thankful for my hubby. I can't imagine what is like for you single moms. I think you are all very brave!

it takes a selflessness that not a lot of people have and lots of tears and patience. hats off to all the strong moms on this board that are on their own. you deserve a medal!
