I told the girls tonight - cute story

5littleladies wrote: We decided to tell the girls right away with this pregnancy instead of waiting like the last one. Last time I was nervous the whole time and was just never comfortable telling them, but this time I feel different and one of the big reasons I wanted to tell them is because I think there is real power in the prayer of children and there is nothing I want more than for my girls to be praying for their new sibling.

Anyways-I told them and they were all excited, Megan insists it's a girl and Madeline insists that we call it "It" or "the baby" until we know better. So we decided to pray for the baby and this is what Maddie said-"Dear Jesus, I pray for our baby that it won't die when it's little (she knows about the miscarriage) and I pray that you will keep the baby healthy and I pray that it won't be born with only one hand. Amen." It was so sweet, but holy cow did I have to work hard to not laugh!

That is very, very sweet!! A friend of mine's kids are so excited about my baby, the littlest one requested prayers in her Sunday School class for me and my baby! Doesn't that just warm your heart to hear??

I can't tell you how happy I am for you, and I will be praying that you have a healthy and happy 9 months!!

toddzgurl replied: That is so adorable! Its great that they support you having another child! I know that sometimes older children feel that they have to comete for your attention and when they find out about another baby they are usually mad and all! You are lucky to have such a support group!!!
