I spent WAY TO MUCH on his b-day party!!! - I guess you can say, I went overboard!
CAMSMOM1 wrote: My orginal plan was to have a simple birthday party for Cam. Just cake & ice cream with a few friends & family.
Nope! I went ALL OUT with his party! There should be about 30+ people there tomorrow! I decided to go with a NASCAR theme since he loooves cars!
Here's what I spent so far!
NASCAR decorations: $90.00
Balloons: $18.00
Snack foods & drinks: $75.00
Birthday cake from Costco: $17.00
7 Pizzas : $52.00
Pinata with candy: $35.00
GRAND TOTAL: $ 287.00 !!!!!!!!!!!
And I still need to buy candles, ice for the drinks, and ice cream!
I sure hope he has a good birthday! It's suppossed to rain tomorrow, so keep your fingers crossed! Good thing I didn't rent a Bounce House!
EDT: I still haven't even bought him a Birthday Present!!!
Nina J replied: It'll be worth it, you'll have lots of good memories My DH would think you were the best, considering I go out a spend way to much money on things I don't even need I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain. Have a great day!
edited to say: What are you going to get him for his birthday?
CAMSMOM1 replied:
Oh yeah, it's so worth it! I know Cam will have a blast! I just usually don't spend much money, on anything, but for special things like this, why not go all out?! Right!
I think I'm going to buy him a toilet! Seriously, I want to buy him a toilet training seat so we can get moving on that. And probably a new truck or something. This boy could never have enough trucks, cars or motorcycles! That's why I was so happy I found the NASCAR decorations, it totally fits him! I'll make sure to take lots of pictures to show you guys!
ilovemybaby replied: Wow! LOL We just went to a birthday party for a 5 year old boy today. And there were like 25-30 kids there. It was so noisy and chaotic. LOL They had a bouncy castle and a pinata. I nearly died when they told me how much they paid for the cake. It was a train. It had three carriages on the back and a photo of the boy on the actual train. And the carriages were filled with candy/lollies. It wasn't that big and wasn't enough for that amount of kids. And they paid $180!!! Can you believe that?! We didn't stay for the cake but I can imagine there would have been a few kids that were crying because there wouldn't have been enough cake for all of them. There wasn't even enough party hats or seats.
CAMSMOM1 replied:
Wow! That is a lot of money for just a cake! Thank goodness that was one of my cheap items on my list! But it a huge cake, so it should be enough. I hope it is at least! And I almost bought a bounce house, thank goodness I didn't do that with the rain!
MamaJAM replied: I'm sure he'll love his party.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Wow! I'll bet he'll love it though. Lots of sunshine vibes for tomorrow!
CAMSMOM1 replied:
Thanks for the sunshine vibes...it seems to be working! It's SUNNY with clear skies!
Bee_Kay replied: Hey Ann! I hope Cameron has a great day!! Tell us all about it !!!
luvmykids replied: I do that every time too, I always say small and simple and then word gets out ... at least we haven't rented out an amusement park or anything totally out there! Thats how I make myself feel better, that there are other people who REALLY go bonkers!
He's gonna love it, hope you all have a blast and the skies are clear and blue!
CAMSMOM1 replied: I'm getting soooo excited! Like it's my birthday or something! But that's how parents are I guess, just to see a smile on their child's face is priceless! Well I gotta get going! And the skies are as clear blue as they could be! Thank God!
Now all I need is ~~clear NOSE vibes~~ for Cam, he woke up with a stuffy & runny nose! I guess you can't have it all!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Hooray for the Sunshine!! Hope the party was lots of fun!!
holley79 replied: Rain rain go away.
I hope it doesn't rain on his bday party. I'm sure that I will go WAY over board with Annika's first BDay. It's not like they even know what is going on. I always go all out for Brandon's BDay.
