I saw the witch Dr.

PrairieMom wrote: I had my appt with the Chiropractor/ kinesiologist today, and it was a really interesting experience. It was actually amusing and fun. He did some acupuncture type things with pressure points in my body to identify where my problems are and decided that I have an overgrowth of bacteria in my small intestine that is throwing my whole immune system out of whack. He gave me some supplements, like 5 or 6, and when I say "gave" me, i mean I paid out the hiney for them, but what he said made sense so I am hopeful this will work.

He put me on another elimination diet, but this one isn't as bad. I can have fruit, and artificial sweeteners, but he took me off beef. dry.gif a good trade off IMO. tongue.gif

The strangest thing was how he could tell what supplements i need. He had me hold my arm out and push up against him pushing my arm down. Then he had me hold a vial of with a supplement in it and he would push my arm down again. When I held something that I didn't need my arm would be strong against his pushing, but when I held the vial of something I was deficient in my arm would go weak. blink.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif blink.gif wacko.gif blink.gif wacko.gif I litterally started laughing out loud at him and told him, (and these are my actual words) "this is the craziest voo doo crap I have ever seen!"
I have been thinking about it all day and can't figure out how he did it. blink.gif He told me that i appeared to be skeptical. YA THINK!????!!!!!! huh.gif

Oh well. I bought his stuff, and I will try his diet, and will put everything I have into it just like I did with the other diet. There are a lot of things in this world I don't understand, but that doesn't make them untrue ya know? I'm giving it a try, but if I don't see results, I am outta there!

A&A'smommy replied: wow thats crazy!! I hope it works though!!! thumb.gif

PrairieMom replied:
yeah, I don't know whats crazier, him doing that, and it appearing to work, or me actually buying into it, and giving the guy $ for it! laugh.gif I guess tho, I don't know how a TV works either, but i have 2 of those... dry.gif laugh.gif I've tried everything else tho, I get to see a infectious Disease Dr in a month, so This will give me something to do in the mean time. laugh.gif

amynicole21 replied: It's probably a bit of "the power of suggestion" but you never know! If it works, you'll have to give me some more info wink.gif

stella6979 replied: Hey, ya never know, this guy could be the one to help resolve all your problems. I wish you the best of luck.

PrairieMom replied:
I felt like I was in a magic show. Wondering "how is he doing this?" and looking for trap doors and wires. laugh.gif if nothing else it was an amusing way to spend a hour this morning. He was a very personable guy, but I suppose all good con men are. wink.gif

lovemy2 replied: Hmmmm I have to say that does sound pretty funky....but give it a whirl - you never know - I am still thinking you should try a true accupunturist- I have heard it works....maybe after the infectious disease guy - if that doesn't work.....

Good luck though and KUP!

hopefulmomtobe replied: My son saw a naturlist doctor and she kind of done the same thing, she had him hold this metal wond in his hand that was hooked up to a computer and in the other hand she would put a herb/vitamin vial in it and you could see a bar graph on the computer... it would raise up if he was lacking in that vitamin or it would go down if he didnt need it. It ended up working for him and really benefited him bigtime!

I have never heard of your doctors method before, but I would definatley give it a try, what can it hurt. smile.gif

whitting713 replied: I know how you feel. I went to an Amish chiropractor. He really wasn't personable, though. He would press on different points and ask me to raise my arm. Sometimes I couldn't until he pressed in a different place. It got rid of my headache, though. That was over 10 years ago. I haven't been to one since. I really hope this works for you.

CantWait replied: All I can say Tara is best of luck. With the struggle you've had; anything is worth a try.

boyohboyohboy replied: did he give you some idea on how long before you see some relief?

PrairieMom replied:
not really. He thought I would start seeing some relief of my symptoms in about 10 days or so, bit I don't really "feel" any symptoms, so I don't really know how I would gauge that. My thrush is due to come back next weekend, and he is hopeful that it maybe won't. I have had this problem for 15 years, so he pointed out that this probably won't be a quick fix. I have to clean my system out, then repair it before I see an improvement. Who knows. I figure after all i have tried, this is worth a shot. I won't even find the answer if I don't try anything new right?

Danalana replied: I had something like that done once....it looks silly, but it really does work. I was having a problem with lactose, and she was able to tell by that arm/hand stuff. I hope it works for you.
