I cancelled the surgery

Maddie&EthansMom wrote: I cancelled Ethan's surgery for now. DH and I want to wait until the first of the year. The office was fine with that. rolleyes.gif It's really strange that they made it sound so urgent and made me get all worried and when I called she said "Okay just call at the first of the year to reschedule." dry.gif It doesn't bother him at all and doesn't cause him pain otherwise I would go ahead with it. wink.gif

Just thought I would let you all know.

Kaitlin'smom replied: sound slike you dont need that added stress right now, and if he seems to not be bothered by it then by all means, maybe even go for a second opion.

amynicole21 replied: Whew... some more time to mentally prepare! I'm glad you did it. smile.gif

coasterqueen replied: Glad that it's not an urgent thing. Maybe now you can just enjoy the upcoming holidays and worry about that later wink.gif. grouphug.gif

jcc64 replied: Sounds like a good move. My brother (while not a baby), has been walking around with one for YEARS (and he's a dr). I'm sure it's fine if you wait until you're more ready for it.

DansMom replied: Way to trust your inner voice---you need to enjoy the holidays.

Boys r us replied: Did you speak to the Dr or the receptionist to reschedule it? I only ask b/c the receptionist may not realize if it's urgent or not. Anyhow, If it's not bothering him and putting it off won't risk making it worse, then it's probably a good thing to give yourselves some extra time to get adjusted to the idea!

MomToMany replied: As long as it's not bothering him, I'd say it's fine. I know Logan had a terrible time with his, and that's why he had it done so young (at 3 mos. old).

It will be better to wait until the holidays and all that stress is over with too. Good for you for listening to your Mommy intincts smile.gif .

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

I spoke with the lady who schedules the surgeries. She is very familiar with the situation. wink.gif I would never just leave a message with the receptionist. biggrin.gif They were going to hold off until Dec 31st, but happened to have an opening on the 26th of this month and that tells me it could wait until January. They must have thought we already met our deductible, but we haven't and since it is $1000 I wanted to wait to meet it in January instead of the end of this year. KWIM?

A&A'smommy replied: well its probably better because now you have more time to prepare mentally and finacially! ((HUGS)) I bet you feel better now that you have a little time to get ready!

darrylswifeskylersmom replied: aww hun.. im glad u have a bit more time to prepare!!
u and your family are still in my prayers!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif That's probably a good move to wait until after the holidays. This way you can better prepare for it financially and emotionally. I hope all goes well.

Josie83 replied: Thanks for letting us know . . . I hope its put your mind at rest a bit xx

kimberley replied: thumb.gif glad you are holding off until after the holidays... less stress. grouphug.gif

My2Beauties replied: Well I am glad that added stress has been lifted! Waiting until after the holidays sounds like a good idea!
