I am the most pathetic pregnant woman on - the planet.

kit_kats_mom wrote: This morning I decided that I would go to the grocery store to restock our fridge with healthy stuff. After the hagan-daz/doritos debacle, I've been craving veggies & whole grains. rolling_smile.gif

I wasn't feeling ill when I got to the store, but halfway through the produce section my stomach started doing flips. By the time I got to the meat section, I was full on sick. The chickens threw me over the edge. I ended up in the bathroom and the cashiers came running in to see if I needed anything. They all know our family and were very nice. Needless to say, I gave them my list and they finished my shopping for me. One of the ladies even added peppermint tea to my list for me. wub.gif

I did have to acutally bring the groceries in and put them away...the chickens got me again and the buttermilk??? lets not even go there.

This baby is going to kill me before s/he even gets here. bawling.gif Well, at least I know I'm still preggo. With K I was never sick and I was terribly worried until I started to feel her moving around all the time.

DH will be doing the grocery shopping for the next few weeks. sad.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif I feel for you! When I was pregnant with Claudia I couldn't watch the Red Lobster commercials on TV they made me so sick, grocery shopping always did me in as well! With me the food aversions lasted my whole pregnancy and even now I can't look at seafood. When I was pregnant with my oldest DD I couldn't look at meat and my DH had to do all the cooking. That pepermint tea will really help with the nausea. I hope this goes away soon for you! grouphug.gif

amynicole21 replied: Awwww! How nice of them to help you out wub.gif

Chicken got me EVERY time, too puke.gif

kimberley replied: sad.gif sorry to hear grocery shopping was so hard. that was really nice of them to help you out like that! i was the same way when i was pg with James. raw meat was the worst culprit by far. i felt sick just looking at it sad.gif hope the nausea lets up soon. good luck with DH doing the shopping lol.

Kaitlin'smom replied: awwww sorry you got sick. That was nice of them to get the rest of what you needed for you.

I am glad I never got sick.....

aspenblue1 replied: Sorry you got sick. That is nice of them to finish the shopping for you.

When I was pregnant I couldn't stand soup. Everytime DH would eat it I would get sick and he would have to leave the room.

coasterqueen replied: Ahh that was very nice of them to help.

I never got sick with Kylie either. I got queasy but never sick like that.

Char Lee replied: I think also that was very nice to do for you. I live in a big city so findng someone to actually help you would be hard. Fish makes me sick and toothpaste. Every morning when I brush my teeth I cough and heave. wacko.gif

amynicole21 replied:
Char Lee, I used to get sick when brushing my teeth too! My dentist gave me these tips which really helped: Do not bend over the sink when brushing - stand straight up and look in the mirror. Also, be sure to breathe through your nose while brushing. If you can, get some of that new cinnamon or orange flavored toothpaste... it was the mint that made me sick the most~ grouphug.gif

jem0622 replied: Oy! Sorry that you got so sick! I am dizzy from the progesterone. That is the worst of it. I do get nauseous on an empty stomach. In addition to peppermint...try ginger. Ginger tea or even chewing a piece of ginger really helps with m/s. I gagged on the way to work due to excess mucous. Ick.

So far I can do okay with grocery shopping. Hope you get past it soon!

kit_kats_mom replied: Yeah, brushing my teeth gets me too...yuck.

It was very nice of those ladies to do that for me. We don't live in a small town or anything, about 150k people last I heard. The thing is that I am forever running out of stuff and the store is right around the corner so these ladies know us very well. It's also one of the more expensive grocery stores in town and they are all about service too. I've had the debate with DH for awhile now, service/cleanliness/selection vs. price and we often say we will shop somewhere else because it is more expensive but after today? I think they've gotten a customer for life.

ediep replied: oh man......I sure hope your sickness doesn't last! Mine went away at about 10-12 weeks into the pregnancy with Jason.

That was so nice of them to finish the shopping!! Was K with you?

ps- I threw up a few times while brushing my teeth when I was pregnant

jcc64 replied: Oh man, Cary, I feel your pain. I hope you get to the 2nd tri- fast!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh wow Cary is this what I have to look forward to if I get pg again. Yes I did get queezy with Jade, but I never was full on sick. I'm sorry that it happened to you in the grocery store. That was really cool that they helped you out. Yes I think Maybe DH needs to do the shopping from now on.

A&A'smommy replied: awww I'm sorry you got sick! (((HUGS))) but what nice casheirs that is wonderful no one in this town is even close to being that nice (except at my bank).

Mom2Boyz replied: Awwww wub.gif sorry you got sick in the store. But at least the people there were nice enough to help you out.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh Man! That is the worst! You are lucky to have such a great store. I passed out in the grocery store early pg with Ethan (you may remember that post). They were so friendly and helpful. Those darn grocery stores really get to pg women! Sorry about that. I guess K wasn't with you?

CantWait replied: awwwww I'm so sorry. That's the one thing I didn't enjoy about being pregnant. I had it the whole eight months with Robbie, and the first trimester with Anthony. And you're not pathetic. How nice of the ladies to finish your shopping for you. Hope the sickness passes.

jdkjd replied: Which store was it?? I'm so glad that they were so sweet about it. Have to say that Tally still has that small-town feel sometimes.

I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy but it will end eventually. Little bugger #2 sounds healthy though to give you so much grief. tongue.gif

jen replied: I was about to ask if you lived in Mayberry??? HA! If I got sick in our grocery store they would have mopped me up before they even noticed! LOL! That is cool though that they were so nice! Sorry you are getting sick though!

Mommy2M replied: OMG!! Almost the same exact thing happened to me about a week ago! Except i was in the Deli section and thats where i HAD to be. I managed somehow to get home, park my car, and run in the house to hit the toilet!
After i came out Dh asked me WHY i parked the car in front of the neighbors house, i had to explain that if i had to park it in front of our house i would have had to go in reverse to park it, and i prob would have puked all over HIS new carmats! rolling_smile.gif
I have to admit that this pregnancy is FAR better than when i was pregnant with Meadow. I was sick 2-3 times a day from 5 weeks to 7 and a half months. Now its maybe 2-3 times a week! I have been lucky this time!

A&A'smommy replied: awww you poor things! I'm so glad I was never sick I got sick like twice while I was pg and that was because i took my prenatals and didn't eat right away.
