I am so angry and sad...I'm sure some of you have - heard about this

She said after talking to the police she feels lucky that herself and her other 3 children(2 of whom she adopted after their mom -her husbands 1st wife-died of a brain tumor) because apparently it seems that he may have been planning to kill the whole family. I know that mental sickness and evil have no boundries but when I think of someone murdering their children, I don't think of an extremely wealthy, successful business man whom everyone in life and business thought was a wonderful man doing something this horrific. This man lost his 1st wife to a brain tumor, just recently recovered himself from testicular cancer, you would think that he would CHERISH LIFE, not take it! For some reason, I just can't get myself over this, I can't stop thinking about that family! Anyhow, please keep the surviving family members in your prayers and thoughts!

I'm always amazed at the type of people who just go crazy and do the unthinkable. Like you said, you would think he would cherish life, not take it. Maybe he has suffered so much loss in his life, that he never came back to being "normal" again. I don't know, or have any explanation...or even comprehend what drives people to murder, especially their own children.

I was watching a show on TLC about this woman from Idaho who killed her son, but shaking him. (shaken baby syndrome) Even though the doctors all agreed that she had killed her son, she got off with 3 years probabtion. Made me so mad! Again, hearing stories like this makes me pull out my hair! I just can not wrap my mind around it.

I just thank God that her and her other children are safe. And I hope he gets life for this. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for everyone invovled. I pray for peace and comfort to you and to this family.

They will be in my prayers.

I always wonder what makes someone "snap" like that, I'm sure it's been coming but what was the final straw that could cause someone to lose it like that? I hope I don't ever understand, I'm happy to not be able to fathom a thing like that. Prayers to all affected by such a tragedy.

Why can't loved ones and friends understand people's mental problems and shield the innocent from these very sad circumstances? I just don't understand!

My2Beauties replied: I just don't understand when things like this happen! I really don't, I couldn't possibly imagine killing another human being let alone my own child(ren)! People are just sick these days. There was a 2year old here murdered about 3 days ago by his mother's boyfriend as well (shook him to death in this instance). Why????? I couldn't fathom it!
