Boys r us wrote: I just got an email from my mom..ughhhh

My mom watches Tanner in the mornings until the bus comes b/c Rick and I both have to be at work before it's kosher to drop him off at school.
So, we had snow this weekend and I got up and checked the internet this morning to see if school was cancelled, I didn't figure it would be b/c yesterday it was pretty warm and melted most all of the snow we got saturday and the roads look good. But none the less, I checked anyhow. There was no listing for our school system being late or cancelled. So I go thim up and got him ready!
I have to be at work at 7am, so he's just getting up when I'm leaving. Rick got him him to my parent's house and went to work. I haven't though anymore about it until my mom just emailed me and said, Tanner thought that he missed the bus this morning, so we took him to school. Then as soon as we got home from dropping him off, the school called for us to come and get was a TEACHER WORK DAY!!!!!!!!
OMG..ya'll..I am so embarrassed!!!
I know they give us the school calendar at the beginning of the year, but it would great if they could send home a little reminder slip a couple of days before!

Poor Tanner! rolleyes.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: On no classic mommy brain.......

booey2 replied: Hugs to you, grouphug.gif you are definitely not a horrible mother. These things happen. Matthew is forever not telling me stuff and his teacher is really not altogether either when it comes time to send home notes about stuff. If my sitter didn't have her son in the same school I wouldn't have known about a lot of stuff that goes on there either.

kimberley replied: oops! if you are a bad mom, then so am i. i have forgotten all kinds of stuff like that too. fortunately, Jacob will correct me now and say "mom, it's a PA day" or something. wacko.gif try not to feel too bad. grouphug.gif

3forme replied: You are NOT a bad mom! Lydia had an early out one day. DH and I were shopping at Walmart and I started seeing all these school aged kids. I said "I wonder if one of the private schools is having a holiday?" Then it HIT me like a ton of bricks...Lydia had gotten out at 1:00 and is was 2:45!!!!!!!! We didn't have our cell with us so they couldn't get ahold of us. She just went with the afterschool program kids into their classroom but STILL!! I felt sooo horrible!!

Mommy brain, you are not alone! LOL!

MomToMany replied: You're not a bad mommy! It was a simple mistake! I've never done that, but I have gotten up early and all ready for school, then realized they didn't have school. They said, "M-O-M, we could've slept IN!", LOL!

TANNER'S MOM replied: I have done this don't feel bad!

I was lucky to take them to school and realize that no one was there before they got out of the car...But I was then late for work, w/ no

Maddie&EthansMom replied: If you are horrible then so are a million other moms in the world. LOL! Who doesnt' forget stuff like this? Tanner will survive. wink.gif Don't be so hard on yourself. grouphug.gif

Cary Lynn replied: Aww that happens alot. Your not a Horrible mom.

gr33n3y3z replied: I have forgotten what day it was in the am and woke all the kids up to get ready for school and guess what it was Saturday!!

And that half day thing been there and done that also

And a few times Kaitlin stayed after school for a project and the phone rings at 5
Umm Mom are you going to get me lol Its a good thing I only had to pick her up at 5 but see we all forget.

So if anyone is a bad one its me

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif You know this is one of my biggest fears that I will send them to school when it is closed. I'm glad you had someone to watch him for you all day. Don't feel bad, it was an honest mistake!

MommyToAshley replied: I agree, don't be so hard on yourself. I am sure it will happen to me when Ashley starts going to school, so please be ready to remind me that I won't be the only one! The school really should send out reminders!

A&A'smommy replied: NOoooo your a great mom we ALL forget things! That happened to me once ONLY I was the child I wasn't really bothered by it but I would have liked to sleep in too lol!

loveydad replied: aww! You're not a bad mommy! Once I tried to drop Tracy off with a bunch of vicious kindergardens. You just forgot.

mom89 replied: Um,oops!!
I think my kids school have forgotten in the past to send us a reminder. Tho I've never accidently taken them to school. Besides,my dd is in the 5th,so she pays attention wink.gif
