amynicole21 replied: It's all over the news here obviously. I don't doubt it for a second - when I rode that thing I thought I was going to puke and pass out simultaneously. It was awful! I hate that thing. I can't imagine what that family is going through. You can bet that Disney is going to pay big.
My2Beauties replied: I just read the article about this on MSNBC.com. It is awful. The ride has caused 7 elderly people to go the hospital with chest pains so far too. It's really intense according to the article. The boy probably had some sort of underlying heart condition or something that caused him to die while riding the attraction. It's really sad that you have to be scared of theme parks now
gr33n3y3z replied: that is so sad
MommyToAshley replied: Knowing the problems that this ride has caused, why doesn't Disney tame it down a bit? I know there are thrill seekers out there, but this sounds a bit extreme!
That poor family!!!!!
Boys r us replied: How awful!! That poor family went to Disney so they're family would have a good time and that happened, I can't even begin to imgaine!!
I don't necessarily blame Disney..or anyone. It more or less seems like one of those horrid things that life sometimes brings about! I will say that I can't imagine a mother putting her 4 yr old on that ride though.
Jamielou replied: OMG I just dont know what to say
mckayleesmom replied: I think 4 years old was probably too young for that ride in the first place. Im assuming its similar to space moutain at Disneyland. The boy probably had a condition that the mother didn't know about. I won't be quick to blame disney yet. Found at fault they will pay, but I think Disney will pay anyways because something happened on their ride...even if it isn't there fault.
ions_momma replied: OMG! Thats awful! I cant imagine what that family is going through right now!
3xsthefun replied: OMG! That is so awful I feel really bad for the family.
amynicole21 replied: It's more like a simulator. You don't ride a rollercoaster or anything - but a movie plays in front of you and you pretend you are the captain of the spaceship and hit buttons and stuff. When you "blast off" they do something that makes it feel like your chest if collapsing and you can't breathe and what you are seeing on the screen is really disorienting. I really hated it... a lot. It is not suitable for a 4 year old no matter how tall he is.
ediep replied: thats scary!!! There is no way I'll ever go on that ride!!!
How sad!!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: ITA with Nichole. I can't imagine putting Maddie on a ride like that. Those poor parents. YOu know that mother is replaying everything in her head a million times.
jcc64 replied: I know it's awful- but isn't it possible the child had some unforeseen medical condition? An aneurism perhaps? I had a friend when I was 16, and she went to bed seemingly fine, and died in her sleep. And around the same time in my life, a child died in our community pool- not from drowning but b/c he apparently had a seizure in the water and would have died anyway. Sometimes people just drop dead. I've been on these types of rides. I don't think I would put a 4 yr old on one, but something tells me there was more going on with this child than just the ride. A tragedy yes, but I don't think this was negligence on Disney's part. Just a tragedy.

MomToMany replied: OMG, that is awful!!
redchief replied: I agree
A&A'smommy replied: What the heck was a four year old doing on that ride anyway.... That is AWFUL I'm sorry for that family I can't amagine loosing your child at disney world
luvbug00 replied: Oh godness I can't even fathom what it would be like to loose a child in that manor. I can't believe they'd put a four year old on a ride like that! I had a friend in high school die from an undiagnosed heart problem our weightlifting teacher tried to save him it was so sad.
mckayleesmom replied: Ok..I know what you are talking about I think...If Im correct..sometimes they put them in malls too....so really it could have happened anywhere.
