Hold onto your hats...

Wow. Entertaining news to start the day off with, though laugh.gif

ChristineA replied: I was wondering when that was going to happen

Kentuckychick replied: You know... and I never thought I'd say it, but since watching their newer show and seeing how they're "lightening up" on their old ways (they've even said they are), they're kind of growing on me.

That said... there comes a point when I believe that continuing to have children becomes irresponsible. In this world, in this economy... that point for the Duggars is long gone.

It's also my opinion that there's a point when it becomes irresponsible for a mother of this many children, at the age of over forty to continue putting her body through pregnancy and childbirth. The statistics show that with each subsequent pregnancy and childbirth the risk of something happening to you, your child or both increases. They also show that at her age the risks increase.

I think the Duggars are extremely lucky at this point that all of their children are happy and healthy and that all of their pregnancies have been happy and healthy. They need to quit pushing their luck.

coasterqueen replied: ohmy.gif Holy crap! I seriously want to know how they stay sane, because two kids, two cats, and two dogs........I have literally lost my sanity!!!!! laugh.gif

cameragirl21 replied:
Because the older kids do most of the work, that's why. Michelle even said that it's easier now than when they had 5 because now the older kids are able to help out a lot.
I'll hand it to them, they are hard workers and quite resourceful...I was pretty blown away watching their 18 year old (or however old she is) girl cut tile and lay it by herself...I wouldn't be able to do that with a gun pointed to my head. But I also think that anyone who has used over 90k diapers is a tremendous strain on our environment and is wreaking havoc for others. I think families like the Duggars should be forced to plant trees and support the environment in other ways to make up for the strain they're putting on it which will be felt by their grandkids if things don't change a lot in a great big hurry.

A&A'smommy replied: leave it alone regardless of anyone elses opinion they have raised good kids, hard workers with good morals. We need MORE families like them

My2Beauties replied: That woman is kookoo.gif for wanting to have that many children! No way Jose....

coasterqueen replied:
I will say that for them. I admire them as far as how their kids behave. I can't even parent well enough to keep my two kids behaved. rolleyes.gif They run around like animals and never listen. rolleyes.gif

Danalana replied: Having 2 precious babies, I can understand wanting more and more...my concern is that there is no way I would be able to spend one-on-one time with all of them. Heck, there are days when I feel like I cheated Kade in one-on-one time, but it's getting better. I think they're really nice people and good kids. If they can do it all and feel completely satisfied as parents at the end of the day, more power to them! But I do agree that she is getting to an age when the chances of Down's syndrome (and other things) goes up. I wish them a healthy child, but I wonder when they will finally call it quits. I love children as much as anybody, but I don't see how it's possible to give the best of yourself to that many.

DVFlyer replied:
If you had a TV show, you'd be able to show the public whatever you wanted them to see. wink.gif

CantWait replied: unsure.gif Unreal, that's all I'm going to say.

coasterqueen replied:
laugh.gif Maybe I should, you think my kids would behave then? rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
girl mine run wild too, especially autumn. Alyssa does ok but she still has these moments wacko.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
I do agree with this.. plus for me I couldn't do it I would go NUTS my TWO drive me crazy. I would like to have at least one more though

coasterqueen replied:
Maybe it's the second child syndrome! laugh.gif Because Megan is like a little devil. Constantly doing something she shouldn't be and just a wild animal! Kylie is like Alyssa and has her moments, but a lot better than Megan. rolleyes.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
maybe your right Autumn is complete WILD woman she NEVER stops, she climbs on everything and if you look at her the wrong way she throws a huge fit, throwing herself on the floor, shaking her head no and yells at you. She is SOOOOOOO rough too poor Alyssa gets beat up by her baby sister and it hurts her feelings sad.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Congratulations to them, I wish her a happy and healthy 9 months. The baby will be born already an aunt or uncle, but they'll be more like siblings. laugh.gif

My2Beauties replied:
Aubrey is a wild woman too, I can't take my eyes off her for 5 seconds! It must be the 2nd child thing.

bluebear replied: I don't even need to click the link to know what it is- thanks yahoo news.
what a great birthday gift- finding out the duggars are having their 19th kid! rolleyes.gif

bluebear replied: Just wanted to add that they were NOT planning this baby- she wasn't losing weight on her diet and her newborn was fussy when she was breastfeeding. she put the symptoms together and realised she was pregnant.

better article

Boo&BugsMom replied:
thumb.gif 100% agree. God has blessed them, for sure. wink.gif It's highly irritating when people complain about being judged, yet they have no problem casting stones at others.

grapfruit replied: Man, imagine how crappy it'd be if they got a stomach bug....w/that many people!

Why do I think of things like that?? wacko.gif

mommyof4 replied: wow I am mixed feelings with it all , but they seem to do fine , but as said on tv everything looks great and easy . I just dont understand how a body can go through so many and she looks great as well . I take this show over John and Kate anyday they are too unbleiveable .

luvbug00 replied: i will just quote mya on this one " seriously though rolleyes.gif"

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I don't really follow them and I've never watched their show so I don't know but I have to say.... my paternal grandparents had 16 children. 14 of which lived past childhood. And a friend of ours came from a family of 21 children, of which 19 survived. No one thought there was anything kooky about it back then, so why should there be now? If they are happy and clothed and fed and not being neglected or abused what is so wrong with it? Just my 2cents.gif wink.gif

Cece00 replied: Good for them I guess. Better them than me!!! I wouldnt have that many even if the older ones did help all the time. Being pregnant that many times scares me!! How exhausting rolling_smile.gif

But they seem more put together than a LOT of families out there, so thumb.gif

jcc64 replied: I seriously don't know how they find the time, energy, privacy, and enthusiasm with all those kids under foot, but hey, more power to them, I guess...

redchief replied: I'm told that it's the inner imprint in all men to wish to single-handedly repopulate the earth. I personally would not have the gas in my tank for that many kids.

my2monkeyboys replied: If they are indeed able to rear that many children, then by all means have at it. It's not my cup of tea, but who am I to say they are wrong for it??

Danalana replied: Oh, I don't think it's wrong...just unbelievable.

Crystalina replied:

Bamamom replied: Hi guys - missed yall - and of course the first thing I would see upon my return to PC is a semi-controversial post LOL!!!!!!!

I think something that alot of folks don't see is that the Duggars didn't set out to have 19 children. It's that they don't believe in using birth control - period. Not even the rhythm method. They believe that God should have complete control of their fertility. In His divine sovereignty He know how many children they should have, when they should have them, ect. And if they end up with a Down's child, or if something were to happen to mother or child, they would accept that as part of His Divine will as well.

If I were Michelle I think I'd have to fake a headache mid-cycle every month cool.gif

Alright - I'm going to slink off into obscurity again. Love to you all (and congrats to the new babies and new pgs!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calimama replied: I wonder how many she'll end up having?

A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif @ bamamom!!!!!

You know I wonder how they ever find time to have "love time" emlaugh.gif ohmy.gif

bluebear replied:
I'm wondering where they're putting all these new kids. The bedrooms built were just big enough for the kids they have now, and a little crib in their bedroom for a "nursery." 2 kids later and now another on the way, where are they putting those kids?

ChristineA replied:
last show I saw there was pink pack and plays at the end of each of the bigger girls beds
