Hi I'm back!

I'm going to catch up on all the reading... I got lots to make up for. I was able to sneak on for a few minutes twice (I think only twice) from dh's work... my msn was online at dh's work and he was chatting away with some of my cousins while I was here, bored. What a Donkey.


On other news - DH got laid off. His cousins made a mess of their new company, and are out several thousand dollars... so they laid everyone from that company off except them 4 (DH's 4 cousins). His aunt offered him a job, but it's maintenance... including de-plugging toilets, painting, shoveling etc etc... so we think we're going home to Ottawa. His last day of work is April 7th.

Crappy deal... but oh well.. he's got one year of active engineering experience now. Hopefully he'll be able to find something new. Otherwise, I'll be stuck going back to work.

I've been starting to pack, secretly - cuz i told dh it's his choice if we move or not - he keeps saying the more and more he thinks about it, the more he wants to move. Since he NEVER goes in the closets, I've packed the stuff in the closets... lol and under te sinks, I've packed up all the extra towels and bathroom stuff... he never gets his own towels or new rolls of toilet paper, so he wouldn't notice anyways. We went to Ottawa this weekend - I made him put a couple boxes in te trunk of the car... he asked what they were, I said old clothes. He was ok with that - he "assumed" the old clothes was going to go to my mom for sorting and giving away to Salvation Army - but relaly, they are just fall clothes and some winter clothes. It's not new. But at least it's 3 boxes less we have to bring!!

So that's my life in a nutshell right now... as of next week I'm a broke chick. Well not really, but it won't be long before I am...

That is unfortunate for your DH, but that kind of swings your way about moving back to Ottawa. Sorry to hear that even still, about him being laid off.

Hope everything continues to work in your favor, and he gets a good job.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yup - I can't say I'm unhappy about dh losing his job. Really, that's what was keeping us here... it sucks salary wise - but we'll pull through.

As for packing... what he don't know can't hurt him... lolol
