Gotta tell you about my son - valentines day at school

At his school, they do something cute on Valentine's Day.

As soon as the boys walk into the school, a red paper heart with their name on it is pinned on them. The first girl they talk to gets to take their heart and wear it for the rest of the day.

This morning, I was talking to Ty about this and I told him "You better not talk to one single girl today!!!'

He looks at me and asks "Why?"

I smooched him and said "Because your heart belongs to me".

He smiled and said "I know it does Mom".

luvmykids replied: Oh, how sweet. My son is a total mama's boy when it comes to that stuff and it melts my heart every single time.

He sweet and sensitive, and funny. He's stuck between being a mama's boy and dad's buddy LOL!!!

He sticks up for his OLDER sister if some older boy isn't nice to her (LOL, I've seen it).

He will make some young lady very happy someday

I asked him who got it..... he smiles and says "Maddie" (she is a girl he likes).

(Before I go farther, I have to tell you, I HATE it when I hear boys referring to girls as hot ).

So, I test him a bit and I ask "Do you think Maddie is hot?"

He smiles and says "No! She is beautiful". (I smile at him proudly).

JMHO that referring to a girl as HOT is somewhat demeaning in my eyes.
