Good thing about labor?

~CrazieMama~ wrote: Name one good thing you experienced during your labor. I know, where do I come up with these?!?!?!? lol

MommyToAshley replied: The epidural... LOL rolling_smile.gif

~CrazieMama~ replied: I guess during my labor with Brianna, it was easy. I laughed through almost the whole thing. The last 45 mins. were not funny though. The good thing for me was, it was about 90 % painless.... lol

mckayleesmom replied: ????? blink.gif ,,,did you say good thing...lol....When it was over...lol,,,Although I had a c-section.

MomToMany replied: Knowing it didn't last forever, the nice reward at the end, and the "getting waited on hand & foot" after the delivery, etc...

jdkjd replied: Ditto on the epidural.

But I have to say Ryan. He really came through to be an amazing coach during the labor. Much more involved than I thought (or even he thought he would).

Maddie&EthansMom replied: My labor was incredibly easy, but long. It was nice to sit around and watch T.V. and visit with friends and family that came and went. The anticipation was pretty exciting, too.

Mommieto2Girls replied: I don't remember any good things, except afterward it all being over and having a miracle.

DansMom replied:
When the contractions were getting bad, I had DH put on Coltrane's version of My Favorite Things. It really calmed me down between contractions. And now when I hear it I think of Daniel's birth. smile.gif

CantWait replied:
I'm with M2M on that one. I didn't have any real drugs, no epidural, and it felt like a 1000 knifes ripping through me at once...... rolling_smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: The best thing about labor, huh?

Um....the baby?!?!

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

That is such a sweet idea!! wub.gif wub.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied:
I am going to have to second that. LOL!!!!! rolling_smile.gif

Actually my DH was awsome. He held my hand through every contraction and coached me through the whole thing. I don't think I could have gone though those 14 hours without him.

paradisemommy replied: i'm gonna probably say - being that much closer to holding our son in our arms..

can't say there was much "joy" in the whole labor process - my cervix wouldn't dilate so i was in pain for a good 12 hours - they had me on pitocin so the contractions were hitting me left and right and i had nothing since my body was "stuck" dry.gif

Jamison'smama replied: Well other than the obvious end result--my labor was awful but I would do it again in a minute---just the miraculous experience of it all made all the pain worthwhile--even though I ended up with a C-section.

I will say that the epidural was right up there with the best things that happened--the second dosage (after the first wore off) was even better!!

supermom replied: The baby at the end of it all!!! And knowing it would not last!

aspenblue1 replied: The baby at the end...

supermom replied: You know, after really thinking about it, the nurses were pretty awesome too, since we had a couple of scary times - and of course my DH!!

kit_kats_mom replied: I actually had a pretty good experience. Yes it hurt alot, I had no drugs, but I felt like for once, my body and I were working together. I was very proud of myself. My DH was awesome too.

chloe&tysmommy replied: lol laugh.gif like some of the other ladies said- the epidural rolling_smile.gif

That was a good thing and also knowing that I would finally meet my little girl for the first time wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif
