Gifts under the tree - question

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: I guess I should have done this as a poll...

But do you:

A. Put all gifts under the tree before Xmas except for those from Santa?
B. Have no gifts under the tree until Xmas morning since Santa brings them ALL?

Just curious what you all do!

grapfruit replied: When I was little just Santa's gifts showed up on Christmas morning. All the rest were already there. My sister-in-law does it the same way w/her little ones.

J-rod replied: A

all of them

Kaitlin'smom replied: gifts for friends/family are under the tree once wrapped. same with anything we get each other, santas gifts come christmas eve/christmas morning. You can tell what santa brought by the paper, all those are wrapped with the same paper.

TheOaf66 replied: A, we have some presents under the tree

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Okay, so far everyone does it the same why I do. But my DH's parents had NO gifts under the tree until Xmas morning. All gifts were from Santa. No gifts were from his parents. Those gifts from family members came out that morning too. So the tree was bare until that day.

He wants to do the same here at our house. I disagree, but don't want to fight about it. So we compromised. Gifts from family, that come in the mail, can go under the tree now, but all gifts from us (to the kids of course) are from Santa and come out Xmas morning.

I know it's a silly question...but I was just curious since DH was very mad that I didn't do it his way.

luvbug00 replied: No gifts till santa comes. that way Mya thinks we have been in comunitcation with him alll year and she behaves. wink.gif

booey2 replied: Well we do put the gifts under the tree that are wrapped and ready to go out to other family members. We don't put any of the Santa gifts or ones from us to the kids out til Christmas eve.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: They're all there. tongue.gif

It's kinda funny... we went to walmart the other day, and Emilie asked if she could have something, and I said: "what did I say about your Christmas presents?" and she answered: "they're already all bought and wrapped... *sigh* fiiiinnnne" and the lady next to me burst out laughing!

gr33n3y3z replied: Not until Christmas eve bc the rabbit will just eat the boxes and rip the paper off the boxes blush.gif

MoonMama replied: A. All but the Santa gifts.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:

I give a little gift to Wil every night of Hannukah...and so now he understands what the gifts are for under the tree. Several of them have already been unwrapped by him! I have to explain that he has to wait...but he is a bit confused by it.

mom2my2cuties replied: I tried - Dog unwrapped. rolleyes.gif

Boys r us replied: We put all but 2 or 3 things under the tree wrapped long before christmas morning. We get credit for most of the gifts..santa only brings a couple of things to our house!

luvmykids replied:
Same here except I haven't done ANY shopping yet

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Yes, that happens to us too. That's why we don't do stockings anymore...the dog pulls them off their hooks and takes them out into the yard. They are empty, but he must smell the bone that was in his last year! rolling_smile.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Most of our gifts are under the tree. The one exception is a single Santa present that is left unwrapped for immediate play. I have a "feeling" Santa's leaving Logan an easel this year. Chalkboard on one side and magnetic board with alphabet magnets on the other.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Presents for other people are under the tree, but Santa's presents don't get put out until after Tanner goes to bed.

Wait...I did wrap a few of his though and said they are from mom and dad. smile.gif

sparkys2boys replied: we put all but the santa gifts out, the gifts from us to the kids, etc.

3_call_me_mama replied:
This is what we do also. Except we give theem the gifts on Christmas Eve adnthen only santa gifts are given christmas day. We do Christams with the inlaws on Christmas Eve so that clears the tree out.. and they get teh one gift that we give them and ne Pj's that night.. then they go to bed with an empty tree and wake up to one with gifts.
