Getting my review at work today

amynicole21 wrote: They fired one of my co-workers last month and gave me ALL of his work-load in addition to what I already did. So I'm doing the work of two full time people now. I had BETTER get a big fat raise! wink.gif Please wish me luck!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif Good Luck! I'm sure you will do just fine! thumb.gif

amymom replied: Good Luck! Downsizing is just great isn't it? I hope you get a big raise!!!

~~~fingers crossed~~~
Nina J replied: Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy.gif
luvmykids replied: You totally deserve a raise! Hope it goes well and let us know!
aspenblue1 replied: Good luck.
DansMom replied: Good luck, Amy! I hope they appreciate you.
coasterqueen replied: GL!!!! thumb.gif
CantWait replied: money.gif money.gif money.gif Here's hoping for a big raise. You deserve it. money.gif money.gif money.gif
kit_kats_mom replied: Big Fat Raise Vibes headed your way.
If they don't give you a good raise, I think you should quit and move to Tampa. LOL wink.gif
Kaitlin'smom replied: BIG FAT RAISE vibes for you. Once you get yours can you send that my way? Aug 19th is my 10 years at my job. wacko.gif
TheOaf66 replied: good luck to ya thumb.gif
amynicole21 replied: Ooooh, I am not a happy camper mad.gif Not only was hardly ANYTHING mentioned about me taking over another full time job without complaint, but I received a "meets expectations" rating on my review. It's basically a C+. growl.gif growl.gif And a 3% raise. Are you kidding me?!?! You just cut a $40k/year job and gave me all of that work and you can't throw me a few extra dollars?
I can't believe I've given this company 10 years of my life. I'm going to go post my resume on Monster right now growl.gif growl.gif
kit_kats_mom replied: Da' Baaaaastads! Well, maybe you will find something here in Tampa. LOL
Honestly, I'm sorry. It's so hard to understand why companies don't do more to show their appreiciation for thier people. I mean really, if the employees aren't happy, no one is going to be happy. It's stupid IMO.
I think you could probably find something more suited to your sensablities anyway.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Sorry about the review not meeting your expectations, surely you did much better than they gave you credit for.
If you do seek another job that does not have the double workload, than I wish you much success!
ETA: Can you talk with your supervisor, and discuss areas where you will be working doubletime and see if something can be arranged for that?
redchief replied: Good luck Amy.
C'Mon boss-type people... SHOW HER THE money.gif money.gif money.gif money.gif
DansMom replied: Amy, that stinks! Did you bring up the increased workload at all? That is unbelievable. I wonder if it's the working mom bias---I use my personal days and sick time now, which is healthy and good, but if you gave more and devoted everything to work before the kids came they never let you forget that. Time to look around and see what else is out there.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Unbelievable!!!! mad.gif That's nothing! I can't believe after you put in all that time for them that is the only appreciation they show you.
I hope you get some leads from monster.com. You definitely deserve better than that. hug.gif
na81 replied: I can't believe they didn't give you a bigger raise, you definately deserve it!!! Good luck with finding a different job.... maybe where you will be appreciated!?
redchief replied:
I missed your post on the results. I'm sorry about that. Supervisory reviews are how supervisors keep you in your place.
Some day maybe I'll tell you how I do them. My... umm... methods would get most people fired though. They're kind of stuck with me and they know it so I basically make a joke of the whole review process. I have yet to meet a person in rank and file that is happy coming out of one of those.
Again, I'm sorry they've treated you like anyone could handle what you've done for them. Shame there aren't better prospects close by.
luvmykids replied: ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif Rotten, rotten, rotten! I'm sorry you've worked so hard for them all these years and they don't seem to realize it or appreciate it.
Hope you find something great! hug.gif
Boo&BugsMom replied: Sounds like the job hubby had before his current one. It's not a bank is it? dry.gif They treated him like crud, never showed appreciation, and he worked his butt off. Something good will come your way! smile.gif
A&A'smommy replied: ugh Amy that sucks!!!! I'm sorry you didn't get a better review some people just have NO idea hug.gif hug.gif
My3LilMonkeys replied: growl.gif How unfair of them! Can you talk to your boss and maybe suggest an additional review in a month or 2 because of your increased workload?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh I'm so sorry Amy...that's sh*tty! Seems to be the norm though...had it happen to me. Happened to my mom too. Good luck with Monster!
paradisemommy replied: now watch...you'll find another job, put your notice in and THEN they'll offer you a big fat raise..
worthless supervisors..can't believe they did that to you..grrrrr.. hug.gif
Kaitlin'smom replied: so sorry hun sounds like my DH's former emploler did not get a raise from 01 to 05 and then it was crap, I was sooo mad espicaly with all the add he agreed to do and NO extra benifits. Thank god he found a new job and so far they seem to care about the happines of there good employees.
My 10 year is up on the 19th of Aug and to be honest I am not holding my breath on anything big, I just hope its something decent.
jcc64 replied: Are we working for the same company, Amy?
They cleared out my entire office- gave me the work of not 1, not 2, but 3 other people, plus the office manager and my boss, and NO RAISE. Yee haw- it's great to be a hired hand, ain't it?
7thHeaven replied:
ohmy.gif I'm sooo sorry! People don't appreciate anything! Paradisemommy is right, you'll put your notice in and then they'll do every and anything to keep you there! Trust me! wink.gif
MommyToAshley replied: I am sorry Amy.. that just sucks. mad.gif I hope they either come to their senses or you find a better job that appreciates you! hug.gif
Kirstenmumof3 replied: hug.gif hug.gif I'm so sorry Amy! That's just awful! I hope that something can be resolved. hug.gif hug.gif
CantWait replied: Amy I'm so sorry. It really sucks when we don't the due recognition we deserve. Better luck next time. hug.gif
msoulz replied: you don't by chance work for an automotive related company? Things are so crappy in our industry that at 3% raise is cause for celebration, despite everyone "wearing more hats". The good ol' days of being fat and sassy are gone for the Detroit crowd.
