GRRRR! People vent!

She said, "REALLY? You should at least let her try it" and proceeded to hand it to Ashley. I had to take the candy out of Ashley's hands. GRRRR!

What makes people think they can do stuff like this????


Oh, and a little bit off-topic... I am proud of myself that I walked away from the bakery with only bread (and even some wheat bread). I didn't buy one cupcake, donut, or cookie! How's that for self-control!

My2Carebears replied: I know what you mean! I really hate it when someone I don't know or my kids don't know come up and touch them. I want to smack their hands!!!

Good Jpb just getting the bread. I know I would of gone for the cookie or something...hehehe

I don't take Jenna out too much, yet, if that's the kind of crap I have to look forward to, I dread it! I'm already a major bacteria-phobe(comes from my profession). People will see me and say "here comes that nutty lady that doesn't let anyone near her kid!"

When Brianna was younger and we were visiting her aunt and uncle and cousin at their work....This lady who worked next door at a hair cutting shop wanted to hold Brianna. No problem. She went next door....no probelm. When they returned....Brianna had a blow pop in her mouth!!!! Yes, a blow pop. I could have died. I tried to take it away from her, but she screamed. I tossed it before she got to the gum though. The nerve of people to give candy to a baby. That was Brianna's first candy too. I was so upset.

I recently bought one of those cards from the police which you send in a pic of your kid, and you have a serial number which if anything ever happens to your child, they have the number in their database. They give you stickers to put on your car, stroller, car seat, anything important...and if ever the child is in an accident or whatever, as gruesome as it sounds, they can more easily identify the child. Or with a kidnapping, you call the police and give them the number, and immediately they can pull up a file on the child with the most recent picture, and it goes across Canada.

The point of me saying that was - the policeman from who I bought the card (a few of them were in a booth in the mall) had suckers to give out...and he ASKED me if Zach could have one... DH and I told him we'd rather he not...so he gave us each one instead. And told us not to tell, they're supposed to be for the kids!!!! lol

I like how "perfessional" people tend to have the social manners to not touch your child or you for that matter unless they say they will, or they do it in a non-threatening manner (like a handshake - you know it's coming when you see the hand lift...it's your chice to take it or not)

What I DON"T like...is when old relatives bring a friend to meet your child, and then they slobber all over your kid. Like as if it's NORMAL to have all kisses on the mouth from strangers. I get so horrified if even my mother or my grandmother gives Zach a bite from their utensils....I just don't think it's hygienic. Ew.

I just dont get them either, sure make you a talking target when you have a cute kid! Thankfully I have not had people touching or tring to kiss her that I did not want to.

The older crowd does seem think its okay to do that though....

Oh have to share this one, was in wal-mart checking out the other night and this lady in from of me with a few kids, has a girl about Kaitlin's age, could not have been older but might have been younger, well anyways she was unrapping one of thoes push pops and stuck it in her mouth! I am thinking oh my a fussy baby and you give it sugar at 7p! I just could not believe that. Kaitlin has never had candy, heck the only sweet she has tried was a little frosting form a birthday cake and she did not care much for it. She is not big on sweets, does not even care much for fruits, would rather have her veggies or crackers (she LOVES thoes Gerber Veggie crackers...thanks Ashley LOL )

People would give her everything and were always wanting to touch her, I even had complete strangers ask if they could hold her! I just don't get it! Anyway I guess I've learned to just ignore it and walk away now because no one bothers me when I am out with Claudia!
