Relax. And be a stay at home. (DH still has to work to pay the bills)

Can you share an embarrassing moment?
When I was taking my concealed weapons class the teacher kept pointing me and my best friend out because we were the only girls there. And when it came time to shoot the guy kept trying to teach us like we had never done it before. But we had. Before he would pass us we HAD to do it his way. It was so embarrasing when there are like 30 other guys standing there watching you.

If your house was on fire what would save other than people and pets?
My Mom's jewlery and my photo albums.

What is the biggest misconception people have about you?
That I always HAVE to pick where we all go eat. They say I am way to picky. But if they would just pick something I would be fine with it.

What is the one experience you would want to do over?
My Wedding. I loved it.

TANNER'S MOM replied: If your company gave you one year paid leave what would you do?
I would spend time with the kids, go to the school things I have always missed working. Spend more time with Dh. Spend more time getting close to Britt since she is fixing to be grown up and in a year and half will be off to college. (Yes I am off work and trying to do these things) I would also try to find time for ME..and not feel so bad about it.

Can you share an embarrassing moment?
Lots of those.. I can laugh at myself alot...okay hummm..which one to tell right now. I had planned a huge luncheon at one of my jobs. I was a boss in a tractor shop and had people from corporate come in.. I had taken and tables put in the shop, linens etc.. had the meal catered..was trying to impress since this was my first attempt at this in the new position.. Me being new the mechanics thought I needed to be broke in. I had made my plate ..buffet style. Went to take my seat beside one of the Vice Presidents of this huge corp from Florida..when I hit the floor. My dress over my head and plate in my lap. The guys thought it would be funny to take the screws out of my chair. I myself however didn't think it was near as funny as they did.

If your house was on fire what would save other than people and pets?
I would save the kids stuffed animals they have had since infants. Tanner has a doll named Tommy, and he has slept with him in his roon since he was a baby, Brittany has a monkey named George that is still wearing one of her diapers...lol
Tiffany has a blanket she loves and Justin has a dinorsaur. They maybe more important to me than the kids really..but I would try to grab them.

What is the one misconception people have about you?
I have heard that I am unapproachable. I am not.. I am the most friendliest person in the world. I do try to have confidence , and for some reason people take that differently.

What is the one experience you would want to do over?
I would love to feel my babies in my tummy again. I wish I had paid more attention to them in there..and really taken to heart how important that was and I how it's a feeling you are only going to feel so many times in your life. And I would also like to redo the feelings I had when I first met Dh. THose moments of first being in his arms, of dancing with him, and feeling like I could fly.

hopefulmomtobe replied: If your company gave you one year paid leave what would you do? I am a work a holic so I probably would utilize the time to get a part time job to make extra money.
Can you share an embarrassing moment? Me and this guy at the bank were always real flirty. I went through the drive through one day and he was working and he pointed me out to his friends at the bank and I got all emberassed and drove off with the money holder canister and after I realized that I had it, I had to run it back to the next guy in line that was looking for it. Yes, everyone was laughing. smile.gif
If your house was on fire what would save other than people and pets? My TV we just bought, my sofa and chair that took me forever to find, my grandma's dining room table she gave me before her passing, I would be in there so long I guess that I should just start putting out the fire!

What is the biggest misconception people have about you? That I am the "Party Girl" Everyone thinks I am crazy, wacky and wild that when I want them to take me serious they don't. I am serious...I just like to have fun!
What is the one experience you would want to do over? Marriage to my first husband, I wouldnt do it the next time around!!!!...granted I love my two children but can not stand that man! He literally makes my life miserable still after being divorced 11 years....

Old Mom Hubbard replied: A year off from work... Well, first off I would spend way more time at volunteering I would want to go throughout the United States to help set up and organize counseling for homeless people in shelters, and to get companies that are willing to train people so to get those who lost jobs back into the workforce. AT the same time for those with children, to create a day-care center with those who would not be able to find work, or those who want to work in the day care industry or who wish to become teachers, to maybe help with child care for those looking and starting out into the workforce. That is something I would do first and formost if given a year break from work. I do volunteer one or two weekends a month in a local shelter, helping sort clothes and handing them out but I see so much more that can be done.

Embarrassing moment? HMM...not any really...OH! There was a time when in a public restroom with my grandmother. She took me to a park right before school was to begin. I was about 9 or 10. She had a problem with passing gas. Well, she asked me not to laugh if she should do so, so I told her I would not. She took one stall, I took another a couple of doors down. Well, a lady came in and took the stall somewhere in between ours. Well, someone tooted loudly and I just burst out laughing! I couldn't help myself! Then my grandmother laughed too. I could see in the opening between the door and the wall the lady leaving in a big hurry, pulling up her trousers not even bothering to look back. Well, we washed our hands and left, and there sat some lady looking right at us. We walked the other way and tried not to laugh. Turns out the lady was my teacher that year and she remembered me. Some kid made a joke in class and I laughed. She says, "Now I KNOW I have heard that laugh somewhere!"

House on fire and what would I save? Well, photos are all safely tucked away on hard drives that are in a pretty good sized fire safe along with all of our important documents that we have also scanned onto hard drives. Photo Albums we do have but keep them by the front entry so easy to get to. I would have to say my crystal and bead and jewelry collection in the box from my grandmother as they are the only things I have left from her...besides photos but again, they too are scanned into hard drive.

Biggest misconception people have about me? Well, I can be a bit timid at times, and not want to say too much especially in class or a crowd. People may take that as a person that has nothing interesting or of value to say. But, I have been told that I am a great conversationalist once people get to know me.

What is the one experience you would want to do over? Meeting my hubby and our first dates.... biggrin.gif
Now that I have had this am fun, time for me to get to work and then later to school for a lovely test in my biology class! You all have a great day! biggrin.gif

CantWait replied: If your company gave you one year paid leave what would you do?
Travel somewhere if I had enough money, spend time with the kids, volunteer during the day if they were both in school. Maybe get a second job so I could bring in more money.
Can you share an embarrassing moment?
I tell this one a lot, but it's the one that sticks out the most in my head. Ron and I were at the movie theatre, and the flick had just finished. I was walking backwards up the stairs out of the theatre while watching the credits, when I missed a step and landed on my butt. Ron stood there laughing at me, while onlookers helped me up. blush.gif blush.gif

All the pictures on the walls, my camera, and photo albums.

I would just stay at home and enjoy the time with my husband and son. Maybe I could get our never-ending remodeling of the house complete.

Can you share an embarrassing moment?
A few months of go, my friend and I were out late and really had to use the restroom. I wasn't sure I could make it home so we stopped at my mom's to run in and pee. She works midnights, so I didn't think she would be home. We quietly let ourselves in the back door. Well she was home and not alone. Let's just say they weren't sleeping. OMG, talk about horrified.

hmmm, an embarrassing moment...when i tried to quietly enter my physics class in college (i was a few minutes late) and managed to fall down the stairs and ride my way down to the front of the auditorium on my @ss, disrupting the entire class.
if my house were on fire and everyone (pets included) were out the door i'd save my camera equipment and my jewelry, all of which was given to me as gifts on special occasions.
the biggest misconception people have about me? that's a tough one, i'd say that i'm fearless because people think i have no fears and that just isn't true. the other is that people seem to think i look down on them, which i don't, maybe i just don't express myself well.

Can you share an embarrassing moment?
One day (when I did work) I had a family member came into to see their father (nursing home) and the aid brought him out because because I had to discuss a few things with the family because he was a new patient and had Alzheimers. So anyway, I'm talking to the mans son and filling out papers and he said "Dad, look at me." The old mand looked up and then the son looked at me and said, "His teeth." I said, "I know, they must be bothering him today so I may just have the aid take them out after breakfast." The son looks at me really strange and says, "My dad doesnt' have any dentures." huh.gif unsure.gif huh.gif

If your house was on fire what would save other than people and pets?

TheOaf66 replied:
well I was working as a Personal Finance Officer for a credit union, I was looking for a new job because this one didn't pay the best and the hours were sometimes rough. Interviewed for a job with a "mortgage finance" company and signed a contract for about 45K a year. After about 2 weeks of doing a job I really didn't sign on for (going door to door to business trying to get them to apply for home mortgages) I found out that since I didn't get anyone to sign up for anything I wasn't going to get a paycheck and to boot all I had were more expenses like gas, bought a laptop, etc. This was right around Christmas so I was unemployed for a month and then had to take a really crappy job at another bank. This supposed mortgage company folded about a month later so I don't really think the job I signed up for existed.
