Educate me - pull up/Training pants
moped wrote: what are traning pants?? Those plastic things? I have no idea
tammyhopkins replied: Jen they are those thick cloth gotchies.
zdk753 replied: What I am considering training pants are the underwear that looks like underwear they are just thicker. Kind of like a cloth diaper I guess. When they wet in them it soaks up some of it, but it still gets wet if that makes any sense. In other words they will feel when they have had an accident. Maybe someone else can give a better description since that probably didn't make any sense at all
moped replied: Like the ones Lori got the boys for Easter???
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I love that word GOTCHIES! So cute!
moped replied: SO big boy underwear but not really?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yeah, I think they have the characters on them like big boy undies, but an extra thick pad in the middle like a cloth diaper. You can wash them, which is sorta why I'm going that direction - pull-ups are expensive!
Boo&BugsMom replied: They will probably work better too since in those they can still feel the wet. They can't in pull ups.
lovemy2 replied: Yep agree with what everyone said - I did use pull ups but for Olivia it wasn't confusing, etc. and I didn't think it slowed down her training any - but in my opinion - a child isn't going to potty train until they are ready...no matter what you use...I still put training pants on Olivia at nite - no real reason I think she has had maybe ONE accident at nite but I guess its my way of holding onto that last thread of her being a baby....
CantWait replied: I couldn't find them when I was training Anthony, but had them with Robbie (sorry the training pants) and I loved them. They can still feel wet, but most of the time they don't leak through to the clothes.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: HA! Down here we say "GoNchies"
lol!!!
Crystalina replied: I've never even heard that word before.
What are the plastic underwear supposed to be for? I never did understan them?
