Does anyone else's baby do this??

My3LilMonkeys wrote: When I put my daughter to bed at night, every night she rolls into the far corner of her crib laying on her stomach to sleep. I know that can be dangerous with SIDS and all, but if I put her on her back she goes right back to the same position. (She is almost 4 months old.)

Also, no matter where in her crib I lay her she always rolls and wiggles to the same spot.

Just wondering if anyone else's baby had a specific "sleeping spot" that they always go to?

Here's a pic...

luvbug00 replied: Aww wub.gif Mya did that too. I think it's after 4 ( or is it 6 months ) the risk is greatly reduced. wink.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Aww! That picture is precious. wub.gif I would say she's probably ok... she is probably old enough to wake up and move her head away from the bumper if she gets too close to it in her sleep and is rebreathing. I guess if you're really worried about it maybe take off the bumper? unsure.gif

mckayleesmom replied: both my kids were tummy sleepers....Russell is 8 months and that is the only way he will sleep.

kayla's mama replied: Kayla does that. We even have a wedge to keep her in place. The wedge is always in tact and she is at the opposite end of the bed. Have no idea how she does it. But I would take the bumpers out. we did for Kayla and know I can sleep alittle better.

BTW, what a cute pic love2.gif

moped replied: Jack used to and still does the same thing except with his bum way up high - i think it is just fine..........this is how she is comfy!

I LOVE THE PICTURE

My daughter does something VERY similar. She rolls onto her tummy, tucks her arms, knees and feet under her, sticks her rump in the air, and is out like a light the whole night. It's crazy, but according to my husband I sleep that way too sometimes. rolleyes.gif

If you have a good monitor in the room though, you'll be able to hear the baby breathing just fine. Babies will sleep in which ever way is most comfortable. So long at their airway isn't abstructed, they should be fine. smile.gif

lesliesmom replied: My son was a tummy sleeper from the day he was born and as soon as he could he moved to the same position as your daughter. It bothered me somewhat but I got used to it. It also helped, in my case, to have one of those sensor pad monitors that not only monitors sounds but any movement. If movement stops then the alarm sounds. I'd really say, though, if she's happy and sleeping well, not to worry. I wouldn't even bother moving the bumpers to this day, now that my son is in a toddler bed, he still likes to lie flush with the pillows, he got a giant Tootsie Roll pillow that he rolls his back up against.

A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa did the same thing!!! wub.gif

CantWait replied: Mine never did, but that picture is too precious. Just so you know the risk is reduced once they can hold their head up for a long period of time, and roll over. I'm sure she'll be fine wub.gif

Thanks everyone, for all of your answers.

It sounds like I really have nothing to worry about if that is true. Thanks!

Edited to delete the quote that somehow appeared twice...

Sids is NOT caused by the way they sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
