Do you feel your age???

sparkys2boys wrote: I was just dancing around with Cameron in the livingroom like a nut and got to thinking that I really dont feel my age. Wait, dont get me wrong its a good thing rolling_smile.gif But I don't remember my parents acting like DH and I do with the kids or even just in general. I mean we are responsible and all that jazz but we have fun too KWIM? We dance with the kids, roll around on the floor with them, and just act goofy at times. I will 32 in April and in all I dont think I feel it. What do you guys think.. anyone feel there age? OMG... maybe I am not supposed to be like this..eeeeeeeeeeeek maybe it's not normal?? wacko.gif

luvmykids replied: I don't at all, except in the mornings when I'm a little stiff laugh.gif

But the rest of the time, no, I don't. In fact, it's usually a suprise to myself when I see a 20yo and then look in the mirror and realize I'm NOT 20 rolling_smile.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yes and no. Sometimes I feel my age, which is 33. You know, the wrinkles are starting to creep up on me, I'm tired more often, and I certainly can't have more than a couple drinks without paying for it BIG time the next day. But it's not always a bad thing either. I like my 30's. I just feel more content with myself. I guess more at peace with who I am, not taking myself so seriously and just enjoying the present, kwim? Which I didn't do in my younger days. But I must say, I do feel "younger" than my age in a physical sense...Like you said, I dance around with my kids (just did that the other night while making dinner), I am active and fit (even more so than I was in my 20's). wink.gif I guess it all depends on the day!

lisar replied: I play with the kids all the time like that. I will play in the mud with them and all other sorts of things. I dance with them all the time. So no I dont feel my age. But I know I am not 20anymore thats for sure.

lovemy2 replied: I refuse to grow up so I suppose I don't feel my age laugh.gif

sparkys2boys replied:
Ok you have me on the stiff in the mornings thing too rolling_smile.gif BUT other then I that I know what you mean I feel like I am still in my 20's.

Crystalina replied: I'm stiff in the morning and at night and I think I have the early stages of Alzheimer's. emlaugh.gif I worked with Alzheimer's for so long that I swear it contagious. rolleyes.gif

I play with the kids alot t hough and when I start to get tired I just think "wow, I'm burning calories!". rolling_smile.gif

luvbug00 replied: I turn 26 on tuesday and let me tell you I am not feeling my "age' per say on my ablilites to keep up with mya tongue.gif . i am as active as i was when i was 18 but i feel the pressures of my own esteem tward my age. i have not accoplished what i wanted by this time so that makes me sad and it's why i don't want a big birthday hoo haa this year. sleep.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Not at all. I have the lifestyle of most ppl in their mid 30s in my area. It's not "normal" here to be 25, have kids, married, car, house etc... it sucks, I get mistaken for my early 30s all the time.

But, I act like I'm still 18 now an then. emlaugh.gif

I play like that with my kiddoes all the time too.

Calimama replied: Not really. Neither DH nor I look our age. People think DH is 21 most of the time.

Danalana replied: Well, I usually don't feel my age, but I do lately. or older. I think that happens when your hips come loose laugh.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied: What Monica said! I really didn't know that ever happened to anyone else! Thanks for fessing up! In my minds eye I'm still 25. I get suprised by windows and mirrors all the time! laugh.gif

luvmykids replied:
LOL....and I thought I was the only one rolling_smile.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: I can keep up with kids no problem
3 parks at Disney in one day
But my feet dont want to move in the am Its like I have to give them a jump start to get going LOL

Anthony275 replied: i dont feel 17 at all

MotherForever2043 replied: I feel older than I really am.

redchief replied: I feel every minute of my 39 years. tongue.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: I'm the most immature responsible 33 year-old dad I know. And I'm OK with that.

HuskerMom replied: Right now I feel older just because my back has been sore lately. But I'm hoping once this baby is born and I get back to my old self I'll feel younger.

sparkys2boys replied:
rolling_smile.gif You sound like my DH too!! HE is a wack job most days but keeps things fun in the house and he will admit to being a nut so I guess all is well tongue.gif
