mckayleesmom wrote: I don't....dh had me get him some cheese for his pie. BLEH! I have heard of it before, but t has never been practiced in my family.

CantWait replied: Nope I don't. It's always icecream and pie. My mom loves apple pie and chedder though.

mckayleesmom replied:
Ya...leithan had me buy some sharp cheddar.

Our Lil' Family replied: I have NEVER EVER heard of that!

mom2my2cuties replied: Oh that is the only way we eat apple pie in our house.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the saltiness of the cheese to cut some of the sweetness of the apple pie.

coasterqueen replied:
Same here. huh.gif unsure.gif

redchief replied: Nope... vanilla ice cream for my apple pie, thank you.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Never heard of that. I like pie as is, no additional side items to compliment it at all.

Calimama replied: Never heard of that.. sometimes the things that sound the weirdest taste the best though. I'm on a diet.. I've forgotten what pie tastes like lol. sleep.gif

Heather77 replied: That is very strange.... never heard of that! laugh.gif

martzfam27 replied: Pie and cheese? Never heard of that but I gotta try that

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Around here, in restaurants they ask you if you'd like your apple pie with cheddar or ice cream... rolling_smile.gif

I love apples and cheese. The sweetness and saltiness go very well together, as does cheese and grapes. That's where the expression "wine and cheese" came... or for a whiny person... "you want some cheese to go with your whine?"

Then again, I like having cheddar cheese when I eat chocolate, sooo.... emlaugh.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I like apple pie with a good sharp cheddar...but I also like it with vanilla ice cream. Just depends on my mood!

ediep replied:
never heare dof that either!!
sounds kind of gross

Kaitlin'smom replied: I to have never heard of that. might be ok with appple but the kind of pies I like eeeewwwww that woud NOT be good.

3xsthefun replied: I have never heard of that either.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Ewww! Gross! That's not quite as bad as Troy's mayo and PB sandwiches though. I like ice cream or whip cream on my pie, and the pie is always warm! YUM!

mom2my2cuties replied:
OMG! I thought I was the only person who did that! smile.gif I ate that non stop as a kid - it was my favorite thing!!!

Just to clarify - Apple pie is the ONLY pie that should be eaten with Cheese - and it HAS to be the block style sharp cheddar to get the correct effect. smile.gif

And it's not bad - if you haven't tried it - you would be surprised at how well the flavors actually meld together.

coasterqueen replied:
I used to have to make my sister grape jelly and mayo sandwiches. puke.gif puke.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Cheese and apples together is really common. So this doesn't sound gross to me, although I'd leave the pie and take the cheddar any day!!! I am not a sweet eater. happy.gif

Jamison'smama replied: My dad eats apple pie with cheese. I don't eat pie but I did grow up eating PB and Mayo..also PB and honey and PB and bologna. I think I ate a lot of peanut butter.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
I still like those, and I make them for my kids too. DH thinks just the thought of them is disgusting... rolling_smile.gif

I also eat onion and mustard toasted sandwiches, as well as pickle and cheese sandwiches. yummy.gif
