Differences...

MyLuvBugs wrote: I can't believe how different this pregnancy is compared with the last. This baby is sitting SOOO low and out in front. And the BH contractions are insane!! Every other day I have them, and they aren't the kind that you ignore. blink.gif They're the kind that you lay down and breath through. UGH. I just keep thinking that this kid really does want to come out early. unsure.gif Hopefully, my midwife will have some advice this week.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Hope everything goes well!!!

Boys r us replied: I noticed that I had a lot more braxton Hicks with my 2nd one! They haven't started yet this go round..well..after "the deed" I'll usually have a couple here lately.

This PG is very different for me too! Aside form a couple of bleeding episodes, I've had it SOOOO EASY! With the boys I was MISERABLE..seriously don't think I enjoy even 1 day of my pregnancies with them. I am finally LOVING being pregnant!

Anyhow, enough about me! I hope your MW gives you some good advice at your visit!! Not sure there is much you can really do for the strong BH's though!

ilovemybaby replied: Yeah this pregnancy has been different to my last one too. And a lot of the things that I had last time have happened a lot earlier... like backache and pubic pain and heartburn and leg cramps overnight. They have all set in a lot earlier.
I had some nasty BH contractions too.

ilovemybaby replied: Also I haven't really felt hungry or had any cravings. My only craving has been pumpkin soup and that was ages ago. I am only eating what I ate before I was pregnant. I have noticed less weight gain this time. I have only gained 7kg so far.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I was just talking about this with a friend of mine who is also due with her second! We both are carrying a lot lower this time! She is super low! And I guess her doc said that the more pregnancies you have, the lower they will be. My BH are more intense too. Could be because we now know what they are (where before I wasn't sure)...or because our uterus is a little weaker? Not sure.

Heather77 replied: Each pregnancy has gotten progressively worse for me laugh.gif . Discomfort wise and complication wise. This one is the worst b/c I've been battling Gestational Hypertention (which I have each time), and Gestational Diabetes. I've also noticed that with each pregnancy I carry lower. My first I carried right in the middle, my last was really low and this one is even lower. Funny thing is, I thought this pregnancy was going to be the easiest. It was going very smoothly until I hit my 26th week, and then it went downhill from there.

jacobsmama replied:
Definetly mention to you midwife about BH because if they are stopping you in your tracks and you are breathing through them they could be more than BH...KWIM? KUP...I don't have another pregnancy to compare to yet but I c an only imagine how different it will be.. wink.gif

MyLuvBugs replied:
Seriously? Oh goodness! If that's true I can't imagine what the next one will be like. lol laugh.gif I swear, if this kid gets any lower she'll be down around my knees. laugh.gif I told DH today that it's almost like she's a race horse sittin' at the starting gate. Like she's ready for any little opening to just jump out. lol rolleyes.gif

But I am glad that ya'll have having more BH second time around. Although I am worried that they are more than just BH sometimes b/c they do stop me in my tracks. unsure.gif That's just what I need rolleyes.gif Bedrest! dry.gif I'll definately keep you all posted. Appointment is on wednesday.

ilovemybaby replied: Yeah that's what I was told too... if they are that bad and especially if they are regular and carry a rhythym (like coming every so many minutes). They could be early labour contractions. I only had it once so I didn't ask my midwife. And I think it could have been gas so I am not even sure if it was BH or not.

I have been having a lot more tight feelings though. Like my tummy going hard.

I think this baby is lower too. UGH I'm sure having enough pubic pain. It's terrible. And I thought Abby was low! laugh.gif
I also feel like she is ready to pop out now!

BTW I love your new avatar! laugh.gif

ashtonsmama replied: dito.gif

I can already tell I'm carrying lower than with A, and I feel different.

ilovemybaby replied: Cool! Amanda maybe you are having a girl wub.gif I'll send you lots of baby girl dust. love2.gif Do you get an ultrasound at about 18-20 weeks and are you going to find out then?

coasterqueen replied: Erika, I had BH that stopped me in my tracks starting at about 30 weeks, I think, with Megan. The doc just kept dismissing me and telling me there were JUST BH and there was NO WAY I was going to have Megan early. She bet I was going longer than 40 weeks as a matter of fact. I kept having them so much off and on and they started getting really bad around 35 weeks. She was born at 36 weeks wink.gif Darn doc didn't even believe that I might be in labor when I went to the hospital. rolleyes.gif So be sure to say something to them, k? hug.gif
