Daniel update - very brief Christmas description

Funniest story: Christmas morning, Daniel ran out into the living room and came back declaring that "Santa didn't come!" DH and I looked at each other quizzically, as we knew the stocking was filled and there were lots of gifts under the tree. When we asked Daniel "what do you mean Santa didn't come?" He answered "He's not HERE!" He thought that Santa would be sitting on our couch. We showed him the empty cookie plate and empty glass of soymilk, and he accepted that Santa had come and gone, because he had lots of presents to deliver.

Christmas morning, Ashley ran in the living room and walked right by her kitchen set and opened a present... it happened to be her drum which is the one thing she asked for. It's so weird, I don't know how she knew it was the drum? But, her drum and saxophone are among her favorite toys. She can't play any songs yet... I haven't attempted to teach her yet because that will be a BIG challenge for this musically-handicapped Mom. Maybe Daniel can come give her some lessons?
