Celebrate good times, Come on! - Holy crap!
jdkjd wrote: Well, the girls at work were telling me that I needed to get new pants because the ones I had on were unacceptable-way too baggy.
So, I decided to go to the mall to get new pants. I did a quick stop at Gap thinking that I would head over to Banana Republic as the plan. Well, the Gap was having a pants sale and so I grabbed some 10s and 8s (I was wearing a 12R and used to be a 14)-hoping to fit into the 10s and maybe some of the 8s.
Ok, so tried the 8 on first. You are not going to believe this.
It was too big.
YES WAY!
I am now wearing a 6....you don't understand-I haven't worn a 6 since I was in undergrad (10 years ago!)
I am seriously freaking out!
(Disclaimer: I know that BR and the Gap have recently adjusted their sizes so that they are more "realistic" or otherwise "vanity sizing" but I don't care a lick!)

I was a size 6 to 8 after I lost the weight between Kylie and Megan but I had to get down to 129 to get in them! I swear I must have a big caboose.
I am so happy for you!!!!! Now hopefully that gives me motivation to get back into that size again.
TANNER'S MOM replied: OH MY ... I am so excited for you!
And the girls at work are right.. you needed new britches..
You go girl!
ediep replied: AWESOME!!!!
kit_kats_mom replied: That is AWESOME!!! Way to go.
I can't wait to buy new clothes but alas (or should I say all a$$) I will never get into an 8. I was able to squeeze myself into a pair of size 9 CK jeans in HS but that was the best I could ever do. I'll settle for a 12. At least they sell those in the normal people section.
Kaitlin'smom replied: OMG how exciting, deffinalty sounds like you were in need of new ones I am so looking foward to fitting into ones I have (just a bit to tight) and then to have to get rid of them because they are to big would be awsome

Maddie&EthansMom replied: OMG!!!! you go, Girl!!!! That is FANTASTIC!! You give me so much motivation!!
Karen...I will have to weigh a lot less to get into a 6, too. I have a big caboose, too. I'm at 150 and barely in an 8.
coasterqueen replied: IMGosh Aimee! Take that back! I've seen your side view pics and if you have a big caboose then I don't even have words for mine. Trust me! I even said to myself how envious I was of your butt when you posted a pic one time. Maybe we need to compare side view pics of our butts so you can SEE that yours is A LOT smaller than mine.
jdkjd replied: I was thinking about it and I have NEVER been a size 6. When I was "this" size before I wore a 5/6 which means I was shopping in the Juniors dept. Hee!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: It feels great....I know it does. I can't wait to be down to at least a small 8. I'm thinking a 6 would be too small for me.
And on a side note...I've tried jeans on at the Gap this year. Those things weren't running large when I tried them on. I would argue that they were running smaller than usual.
Karen...my butt is the reason I'm not quite in an 8. My butt is far from flat. I guess it isn't huge, but it isn't small, either.
A&A'smommy replied: WOW that is awesome!!!!!
