Bedtime - what time at 4 months

shelbysmom wrote: HELLO!!! What time did you put your 4 month old to bed at night?

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Oh, I was bad. I would let him fall asleep while I was holding him and watching TV. Usually he would fall asleep around 8. Now it is closer to 8:30, but he is playing with Dad tonight so he'll be wound up until at least 9.

1babygirl replied: Use to be at around 8 or 8:30 but since time changed it's more like 7 or 7:30pm.

kayla's mama replied: I was like Idaho boo, Kayla used to sleep in my arms while I watched T.V. She would go to sleep around 8, now its anytime after nine. Last night 11:45 wacko.gif blink.gif And I had to work today wacko.gif

jacobsmama replied: i put jacob to bed around 9 or 10 when he was that age. biggrin.gif it seems so long ago though bawling.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: From an early age Thomas set his own bedtime at 7pm....still that time now.

MommyToAshley replied: 8 P.M. But, it didn't really seem like a bedtime since my daughter didn't start sleeping through the night until she was nightweaned around 10 months. snooze.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied: My son always went to be at 7:00 every night. I think it was partly him, and partly me. We had a bedtime routine, and started shutting things down around that time so he wasn't stimulated. I would breastfeed him and in the swing he would go! Some babies need more help to go to sleep than others, but I believe babies at that age need an early bedtime. And some need more help from their mothers to get them asleep. I was just thankful he would go down so early!

MAMACARLA replied: MINE GOES BETWEEN 7 AND 8, SO WE CAN SLEEP A LITTLE IN THE MORNING. IT ALL KINDA DEPENDS ON WHAT TIME YOU GET UP.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Four months...I think it was around 6ish for bedtime. I had a really good nap schedule for Wil, so I kept to it at bedtime as well. He started sleeping through the night at this age. Now he goes to sleep at 8pm.

fashionmumofboys replied: At that age my boys were not on a set schedule yet. The times just varied from one day to the next.

Sorry, not much help here.

Freckled Momma replied: My kids are all in bed by 8, 8:30 most nights. Nicholas (my 2 year old) has been going to bed between 7-8:30 every night(with a few exceptions, like holidays) since he was 6 weeks old...I was blessed with an easy baby in regards to sleeping. laugh.gif

luvmykids replied:
Same thing here. When I started trying to get them on a sleep schedule I wanted bedtime early enough to have "evening time" for me & hubby but not so early as to wake me with the roosters! At that age they slept from 7:30a-7:30p with two daytime naps, 10-12 and 2-4. (The good old days!)

1moremakes4 replied: Kamryn will be 4 months old on the 25th. She still eats every 2-2 1/2 hours during the day, so I keep her up until after she eats around 10 pm. Then she usually sleeps until either 4 or 5 am.

Myprecioushearts replied: At four months old Caden went to bed around 7. Now it's moved closer to 8-9. I've found it's much easier to get my older kids to bed first. They go to bed at 8. That way there's nothing running around the house to wake Caden up! wink.gif
