Bah! Still no Lauren. We had a good weekend anyway - Long update

FIL and DH took K to the Museum of Science and industry on Saturday. K loves the dinosaurs and they also have an indoor playground that she enjoys. I slept most of the day and took her to the neighborhood park in the afternoon.

Yesterday, we all loaded up in the car and took her to the zoo. It was a nice cool day (high 60's-low 70's) so it was perfect weather. Since it was cooler, the monkeys were all out and swinging around. We had a blast and walked a lot. Hoped to have the baby there but no dice. dry.gif

FIL left this morning and will be back on Christmas day for an overnighter then he's going home. If I have the baby between now and then, he is aware that he will be staying in a hotel. LOL

I'm in serious nesting mode today. I've already cleaned the giant mess that FIL made in the kitchen when he was refilling K's sippy. He took the top off, got the pitcher out of the fridge then walked to the counter to refill her cup...well, he tipped over the lid-less sippy and "SPLAT" leftover apple juice all over the floor. ohmy.gif He totally didn't notice and DH and I were cracking up because how could he not hear that loud splatter when we heard it all the way in the living room? dry.gif Whatever, I cleaned up the puddle last night but we were sticking to the floor this morning. So, I've mopped in there, done two loads of laundry, called and scheduled a carpet cleaning and have a ton more cleaning that I want to get to today. Maybe this means that Lauren will be here soon?

I'm really pleased with the carpet cleaners too. I had a local company out last week to clean the carpets in prep for Laurens arrival. Well, I'm not sure what they did but our feet are filthy after walking on it and it smells funky so I called a national company (ChemDry) this morning. They scheduled me for the 27th and I said ok but I may have to call and cancel since that's my due date. Then I told her how I had to have it cleaned because I'd just had it done but it was bad. She checked and said their guy was right down the road today and could do it at lunch. I've already written a letter to their headquarters and local office about my gratitude. How awesome is that?

Ok, I'm off to clean some more. wacko.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
Tomorrow. I get an US to check on size since I measured big a week ago.

Josie83 replied: I agree, if the nesting instinct is that strong again it usualy means one thing! So excited for you! Sounds like you had a god weekend. I'm glad that katherine had fun with her daddy and grandpa. And that you got some rest! lets' face it, you're soon going to need it! Thanks for the update, don't forget to keep us posted! xx

jdkjd replied: So you are going to have a Labor Day baby and a Christmas (Birthday of Jesus) baby. I sense a theme here...

I guess your next one will be on July 4th (Birth of a Nation).... tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied: SOunds like a great visit. tongue.gif

Just think at least you know you WILL have this baby eventually. I know this time around I don't plan on getting excited till my ticker tells me I'm 40 weeks, hee hee because I'm guessing IF the doctors let me go that long this time (due to other issues) this one will DEFINATELY be late. tongue.gif

She'll be here before you know it wink.gif. grouphug.gif

maestra replied: I'm in the same club! No Giselle yet either- though you'd think walking around the zoo would have done it for us! I cleaned like mad yesterday, but by the looks of things around here, you'd never know it! rolling_smile.gif

Now I have to go and write sub plans for my sub, and go to school to clean and prep some of the work for her. rolleyes.gif

I have an ob appt at 10 today, we'll see if any progress has been made.

The worst thing right now is the pain from baby's movement. I don't know if you get it too, but Giselle gets to rolling around in there and it hurts soooooo bad. If I didn't know better, I would think they were contractions. Last night was the worst!

DansMom replied: I was sure either Lauren or Giselle would be here by Monday morning---what a wait! I remember this time with Daniel. People thought I was crazy because I was raking leaves hoping that would bring on labor laugh.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
Oh, those rolls. I can't stand it!! They hurt so much. bawling.gif

Well, hopefully at least one of us will be out of our misery soon. wink.gif

maestra replied: Dh asked me last night to describe what it feels like- so I equated it with grabbing his testes and twisting them. I was treated like a queen! rolling_smile.gif

Josie83 replied:
Hilarious! rolling_smile.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif xx

jcc64 replied: You're always on my mind! Sorry she's taking her time- I'm predicting Dec 26.
Hilarious about the apple juice, dh would undoubtedly do the same thing!
