Baby hiccups?

MyLuvBugs wrote: Aren't all babies in utero suppose to have the hiccups off and on? This little girl hasn't ever had them....well, at least not that I've felt. Do you think that's a problem, or just lucky for her?

KingMom replied: I thought the same thing, then suddenly I started noticing them all the time!

PrairieMom replied: Alexis had then ALL THE TIME! and now she gets them really bad. Her poor chest pratically caves in when she has them! sad.gif

Amelia's Mom replied: Amelia had them every so often that I could feel. After she was born she was the hiccup queen for atleast 3 months. Chest caving in and loud squeeking noises. It almost worried me.

I don't think it is a big deal. Some have them more than others and some stronger than others. You may not be feeling them because they aren't as strong. I hardly noticed them at all with mine.

CosmetologyMommy replied: I do not remember Aidan ever having them either!

My3LilMonkeys replied: I'd say lucky for you/her. Brooke had them terribly, but I don't remember Madison ever having them.

Boo&BugsMom replied: I have heard...not sure if it's true, that frequent hiccupping in the womb is correlated to colic. Tanner had them all the time and he was big time colicy and gassy (still is gassy at age 4 wacko.gif ). If that is true, I'd say you're lucky. Don't know if I believe it or not though.

MyLuvBugs replied:
Wouldn't that be wonderful though! Lorelei was super hiccuppy in the womb too, and very gassy and grouchy when she was born.....maybe I'll get lucky with this one. smile.gif Let's hope! laugh.gif

A&A'smommy replied: ohh lol I bet not all do and she might have them she not to the point where YOU can feel them!!! I'm sure she is fine

oh and the gassy thing not true alyssa had them ALL the time but never really had a problem with gass!

Mommy2Isabella replied: Isabella just recently got the hiccups, and i've only felt them a few times ... I want to say no more than 3 times!

moped replied: I think it is later in the PG, I remember them at about 34 weeks or so maybe even later

huggybugboy replied: I'd say lucky for you. Miles had them every time I ate chocolate ice cream, and since that was the only thing that helped my heart burn, we were CONSTANTLY hiccupping, especially at 4 am!
