Are YOU smarter than a fifth grader?

mummy2girls wrote: this game show is so funny!!!!! i think i would bomb!

MoonMama replied: Oh I totally forgot about it, dry.gif I really wanted to catch it too. Oh well next time. I wonder how I would do. unsure.gif

sweetgirl replied: Hey Ilove this show, what a good family show for once!!! Peige and Landon

redchief replied: I am not smarter than a fifth grader.

ETA: I think it should be scheduled earlier. It's a great family show as has been said.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Between DH and I, we are smarter than a 5th grader. Alone, not so much.

I knew all the ones he didn't and vice versa so we both got to feel smart tongue.gif . I think it's in a bad time slot though - I never would have seen it if Grey's and CSI weren't both reruns (and reruns of episodes I didn't really care for).

CantWait replied: LOL I certainly am not. I don't remember half the stuff Robbie brought home last year. He's definetly smarter then me.

luvmykids replied: It's an awesome show! I didn't do too bad but can't say I'm smarter than a fifth grader!

gr33n3y3z replied: I like that show

lisar replied: I answered most of the questions correct. I was amazed I rememberd some of that stuff. I did get the whole teaspoon and tablespoon question wrong. I said 10 and DH was sitting there going 15. We argued about it and then I couldnt believe it when it was 15. I went to the kitchen and tested it. And yeap they were right. I was wrong. I couldnt believe it. I felt so stupid afterwards. LOL

C&K*s Mommie replied: Being that I cannot pass the 3rd grade (correctly putting names on all 50states), I was not sure about being smarter than a 5thgrader. But I did well, except for the teaspoon/tablespoon one- I too said 10. laugh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I watched part of it and got all of the correct except the stars question , I never learned astro....in school. So I would have needed help then, other wise I got them thumb.gif deffinalty made me feel better, I was supprised I also remembered some things like what NA stands for.

Calimama replied:
Same here! tongue.gif

stella6979 replied: I'm sorry to say that I am not smarter than a 5th grader. Of course, these kids have just learned all this stuff so it's fresh in their memory. I'm not saying these aren't smart kids, cause they definately are, but give them another 20 years and we'll see if they still remember everything they learned in elementary school. biggrin.gif

msoulz replied: I can say, absolultely, without even seeing the show that I am NOT smarter than a fifth grader! I know this because I have a second grader and he is WAY smarter than I, just ask him!! tongue.gif

hopefulmomtobe replied:
DITTO to that. My kids are all in bed by the time it comes on so me and hubby watch it, but I have noticed that he always leaves the room when it comes on...he is wicked smart at Jeapordy so I think he feels intimidated by these 5th graders..hee hee

I love the show, the first guy last night was funny....he was suppose to see how many E's were in Pledge of Allegiance in his head (it was not written down).... and he kepts saying "well, there is two in Pledge, The has one..." and Jeff F would stop him and say, repeat after me...I know it is difficult..."Pledge of Allegiance"....I almost peed my pants because the guy kept on thinking there was a "THE" in that sentence. HA!

I love it...not many adults can even answer one question without needing help from a 5th grader. smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
that was soooo funny rolling_smile.gif

hopefulmomtobe replied:
It really was....I think the guys look on his face was priceless...he was like a deer caught in headlights the whole time. smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
laugh.gif he was like I dont understand. and Foxworthy was just sooo funny when he kept repeting himself.

ZandersMama replied: No, laugh.gif no i'm not

C&K*s Mommie replied: I loved the part when he truly had to THINK what is 2x5= ?? emlaugh.gif laugh.gif

MotherForever2043 replied: I LOVE that show! I'm not smarter than a 5th grader happy.gif

My2Beauties replied: I get most of the questions right but there were definitely a few that stumped me. I was so proud that I guess what REM sleep stood for, but you know I didn't learn that stuff in elementary school, that was middle or maybe even high school for me. Boy kids nowadays are learning way more stuff that I was at that age. That's my excuse for the ones I got wrong and I'm sticking to it laugh.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: laugh.gif I haven't watched the show yet, but would love to watch it. It looked like a really funny show and maybe something that my children will watch with us.

Brias3 replied: I caught that show last week. Hilarious! It's actually difficult to recall some of those facts!
