Anything scare your baby yet?

MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley has been pretty easy going and not easily scared. But, the other night, DH went to take a picture of Ashley in the bathtub and the camera puts out red laser lines where it is going to focus when it uses the flash and the red lines scared her. It was the oddest thing... she wanted out of the bathtub right away. The next night, I had a hard time convincing her to get back in the bathtub...but she is fine now.

I guess it is because we haven't taken many pictures of her with flash (worried about hurting her eyes) and the camera only puts out the red laser when it uses flash.

supermom replied: Funny what bothers them at different times. Anders will sometimes get scared of the vacume cleaner, and other times he'll chase it around the house and laugh. He's that way with a lot of things though, like getting "scared" by his big brother or daddy, and also thunder and lightning. I think it just depends on how tired he is and what kind of mood he's in.

Schnoogly replied: Sometimes Iain is scared of my laugh--maybe it startles him? Other times he laughs with me. It's weird.

catou_98 replied: Camille is definetely scared of the vaccum, she has to be in MY arms while it runs...of course I don't mind cause it saves me that chore, so daddy has to do it...fine with me! tongue.gif and the other night I used my food mixer for the first time since she was born(I'm not a big fan of cooking! happy.gif ) and boy was that a mistake! she was in her highchair eating some cherios when I turned it on, I sure had to take her out cause she was HISTERICAL! no way she was going back in her highchair for days! huh.gif

ediep replied: ok, Jason is scared of some stange things!!!! wacko.gif

THE FREEZER....I'm not joking, if I am holding him and I open the freezer, he gets very upset. blink.gif

He also is acred when my dad (only my dad) says "yeah" I guess maybe it is the tone or pitch of his voice but Jason cries every time. blink.gif

amynicole21 replied: Sophia is afraid of the monkey toy that bangs cymbols together in the beginning of the Baby Doolittle DVD biggrin.gif She freaks out whenever it comes on the screen. Yesterday we were watching the original King Kong and she got really freaked out by Kong. Maybe it's a monkey thing... rolling_smile.gif

paradisemommy replied: taven is scared of anything that's really loud - like the vacuum cleaner (has to be in my arms while i'm vacuuming), drills, motorcycles, the other day i was putting ice in our cooler and he freaked i guess because the noise the ice was making when it was crashing into the cooler.
oh and we were given this cute little white bear that plays "you are my sunshine" when you squeeze his paw. i was in his room with him the other day and squeezed his paw and i don't know if it was scared or just sad but within about 10 seconds, his face became so long and then he had these BIG tears come down. it was just the cutest thing - i had to laugh but can't figure out why it made him cry..

mckayleesmom replied: I think Mckaylee must be fearless, my husband brought his work bench and some tools into the house for the winter and they are still in the kitchen ( he makes fly fishing rods and old fashion guns for hobby) well he is always running drill presses, dremel tools,,saws,,you name it and half the time Mckaylee is sleeping through it 15 ft away. She sleeps throught the vaccume too. The only thing that use to bother her was when we started putting her in the regular bathtub with about 2 inches of water to splash around (her favorite hobby) she would want out of the bathtub if she turned her head and felt the water on the side of her face...now I catch her turning her head on purpose and putting her eye under the water for a couple seconds to see what happens. She even splashes the water so hard that it is getting on her face and eyes and she doesn't care and usually babies want out at that point. And if she ever does get startled by something she thinks its funny.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Jade was scared of large balls. The little girl next door rolled one at her and it would make her jump and cry. Now all of a sudden she's not afraid of them anymore. This thing is larger then she is and she is try to chase it around the courtyard. rolling_smile.gif

She is pretty fearless otherwise which is pretty scary for Mom. She just goes along not noticing how she almost fell off of something. Yesterday she was trying to climb the slides. She would get to the top (with me holding on to her the whole time) and then she would slide down. I finally had to find something else to amuse her because she was just freaking me out. I have been told that her father was the same way. Oh boy. ohmy.gif

¤Heather¤ replied: Alison is afraid of anyone in a doctor's office with a white coat on...! She is scared to death to be in a doctors office. My poor little girl will scream her head off. It breaks my heart!

DansMom replied: bawling.gif Daniel cries whenever someone sneezes! He's just not expecting that from people. I've been working on getting him to think sneezes are funny (because they are). He also is distressed by the coffee grinder.

MomofTay&Sam replied: Sammy started crying last week when the garage door opener went off. Yesterday we came in that way because of the rain and he didnt even care. LOL

Mommieto2Girls replied: Maddie isn't really scared of anything yet. I hope she isn't anytime soon.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Zach isn't scared of ANYTHING! He explores anything and everything...nothing fazes him. He even chased the vacuum! While it was ON!!

I kinda wish he wasa LITTLE afraid of something.....cuz then I could comfort him....tongue.gif

sara294 replied: Alex, now 15mo,gets scared when someone knocks at the door.He will scream and run to me.hE LOVES THE VACUUM.Lol,he has a toy one and pushes it around making a vacuum noise EVERY DAY.SOMETIMES he is so loud I can't even talk with someone in the same room!
