Anyone else at a loss what to get their DH? - (for Christmas)

MommyToAshley wrote: I have no idea what to get DH for Christmas. The only think he wants is a new laptop and there is no way I could pick out a laptop for him. He is WAY too picky and wants specific features.

This is the first year that I have had absolutely no ideas what to get him.

CantWait replied: Get him a giftcard for a laptop and wrap it in a bunch of boxes. emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif

DH wants a new MP3 so that's what I'm getting him. I have no idea otherwise.

Kaitlin'smom replied: DH already knows most of his, he wanted a computer part, so I am wrapping the box laugh.gif , he got KI season pass, another jersey (I think he has 8 now) and a couple other little things one he knows about (if he remembers) then stocking stuff he know nothing about. I woudl love to buy him a few more things I know he would love but he is done. Well Kait still has to shop but she will do that at school.

Calimama replied: Yeah I have no clue. I know he would love some new video games.. but I want to get him something with more meaning. rolleyes.gif

3xsthefun replied: DH is wanting the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. So I will probably get him that and a pair of jeans and maybe a small bottle of cologne.

I would love to get him a new laptop too. But we just could not afford one right now. The one he bought of e-bay earlier this year, something went bad in it and the screen stopped working. Not sure what happened to the thing. mad.gif

TheOaf66 replied: I am easy to shop for...tools, video games, etc she is the one that is the problem to shop for but I finally got somethin for her.

J-rod replied:
if you looking for that movie...its on sale at best buy for $15 or can order it online for $11 with free shipping through discountdvddirect.com

just fyi

booey2 replied: Sorry DeeDee, no help here, DH bought himself a new leather coat a couple of weeks ago, couldn't resist a great deal so I said "Merry Christmas" enjoy it now. Joking, he will likely pick out a few things for himself, like new pants and some other things and I will wrap them up from the boys. We don't normally buy special gifts for each other, we never really have. Since having the house and the boys we tend to focus on them (house and boys).

The gift card for the laptop is a good idea, you could even give him a coupon book from either you or Ashely or both for special things/treats you can give him. wink.gif

coasterqueen replied: Sorry, no help here. We don't do gifts, we may let the kids buy us one gift each, but that's about it. I haven't even thought of what I'd buy him from the kids either. blush.gif

Sometimes we do gifts for each other but if we do it's VERY last minute dependent upon what our bonuses look like and so I don't get to get him what I'd like to get, which is usually something that needs to be ordered. wacko.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: Mine is really hard to shop for too. I got him a new MP3 player that also plays videos and displays pictures. He likes to have those to show off his "girls". I'm keeping the receipt though because he is a big geek and I'm not positive it has everything he wants (external memory comes to mind). If it's not exactly what he wants, he can return it and get the one he does want. Other than that, I bought him a new office chair. His is worn out and he's been needing one for a long time.
I'd like to get him a digital frame but they are still a bit too pricey. I know he wants one though.

Maybe Rod would like a new carrying case for his laptop?

lisar replied: I got my DH some stuff for his dirt bike: New numbers, a hot start cable, ETc.. I dont know what else to get him though. I am at a loss there.

3xsthefun replied:
Ok, thanks. smile.gif I will check them out later.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I ALWAYS have a hard time figuring out what to buy Dh. Everything I think of is either way over our budget or seems too small to be a Christmas gift. rolleyes.gif If we could spend more on it I wouldn't have a problem because there are tons of things I'd love to get him that just cost too much. tongue.gif

I know what you mean about not being able to get him a laptop ~ whenever we have had extra money to spend on Christmas I would have loved to get Scott camera equipment but I know I'd get the wrong thing, and I'd be afraid he wouldn't feel like he could take it back and get what he really wanted.

cameragirl21 replied: Dee Dee, I'm going to recommend the same thing I recommended to Bellasmommy10--now that you have the hot new camera, take a pic of Rod with Ashley and blow it up to poster size...have it matted and have Ashley put her hand prints on the mat, or have her decorate the mat with Christmas style decorations.
It's original, unusual, and no one else will have the same thing, not to mention, it's from the heart and forever! wub.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Now Dee Dee you would not mention what you intend to get him on here, anyhow, since by chance he may see it?! rolling_smile.gif

Whatever you get him (great suggestions in the above posts) I am sure he will enjoy.

Cece00 replied: DH isnt too hard to buy for. He usually lets me know what he wants. This yr he gave me a list of what he wanted, and we bought a computer a few months ago that was so expensive that it was considered a early Christmas present for US.

BabyOwen427 replied: If I had the money I'd get him a log splitter, he is getting tired of chopping firewood, but that is how we heat our home so... anyone know of anyone selling a log splitter super super cheap! like in the 100-200$ range. (there usually 1100-1200$) Maybe next year

redchief replied: No idea, Dee Dee. Sorry. Lisa has the same problem with me every year if it makes you feel better. I just don't really need anything.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: DH and I bought new bedroom furniture recently, so that's our gift to each other this year. But DH's birthday is on the 22nd and I'm clueless as to what to get him too. He wants new golf clubs, but like you said, I can't pick those out...he's too specific of what kind he wants! And they are SOOO expensive that I can probably only get him one! So like someone else said, get him a gift card and wrap it in a big box! My DH also wants golf lessons, so I may get him that! I did that last year and it was a huge hit! Got him out of the house! LOL! wink.gif

jem0622 replied: I want to get DH a Wii. He cannot stop talking about it, and hasn't bought himself a new system in ages. Plus he can play it with the boys. His bday is two days after Christmas, so I hope I can find one. Otherwise, he is getting an I.O.U.!

Boo&BugsMom replied:
You are NOT easy to shop for! I hate getting the same things for you every year...blah!

ETA: I have hubby done though. This year was more easy. Not something I planned on getting, but decided it was well worth the splurge. He BETTER love it!
