Am I nice or what??

favre4fan wrote: My DH and I had planned to spend a nice night alone watching movies.( Boys are gone this weekend.) He works from home on fridays so he went to blockbuster and actually rented some girlie movies!! ohmy.gif Well he called and occasionally he plays poker in the garage with the guys. Well he asked if he could play last minute but said he would still make dinner and they would play later. Of course I said yes because I know he needs guy time. Question how much guy/or girl time do u let your spouse have?? Oh I forgot to mention he plays in tournaments on thursday nights!! I am not mad though sometimes I just don't mind if he gets out of my hair!! laugh.gif

MomToMany replied: My DH gets guy time all the time. He's always busy hunting something, and now trapping season has started. So he will be gone a lot for the next couple of weeks. At least he has guy friends to do things with. I have no girl friends to do anything with. That's why I'm on here so much, LOL.

favre4fan replied: TEE HEE biggrin.gif Me either!! I have one really good friend except shes single and still party girl. I am definately over that! SHe also plays poker though too ,my DH is stealing her from me!! Well she friends with him as well. I had a slow day at work so I have been working my way around the board!! You may see me later tonight now!! biggrin.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Hmmmmm...In the house alone with NO kids, NO husband and a slew of girlie movies to watch ALONE! I'm game! I would kill for time like that! laugh.gif While you are at it, take a long bubble bath!

favre4fan replied: I know the thought has crossed my mind! My DH just called and said they'll be playing in our garage and wanted to know if I will deal the cards!! Ugh lets see girlie movies or deal cards for guys??? HMMMMM not a hard decision huh!! laugh.gif

paradisemommy replied: wow..how envious am i?? wink.gif i would love to be able to sit through a WHOLE girlie movie and not be interrupted!

my dh is a total homebody so his guy time is maybe once every 6 months which i don't mind. he's not a big drinker either which i totally love! but i know *guy* time is important so i always tell him...GO HAVE FUN!!!! wub.gif

kimberley replied: that is nice of you! thumb.gif we don't have many friends so we don't have guy/girl time. we have only been married 2 yrs so we still enjoy time together. laugh.gif

favre4fan replied: HEE HEE we have been married 5 months but together 4 years. i figure every now and then i don't want to be one of those people and never let him out of the house. One of my neighbors has a tight leash on her hubby and I just can't do that . Just like you need to spend time together u need to spend the time apart. Movie night has been moved to tommorrow!! biggrin.gif

coasterqueen replied: DH gets a lot of alone time, lol. For instance...Kylie decided she wanted up at 6 am this morning so I'm up with her...I let DH sleep.

I'll let him go over to his friends house at least once or twice a week while I stay home with Kylie.

The only "me" time I get is when I'm at work (yeah right) and when I'm asleep, lol.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

That sounds JUST like Scotty!! I try to get him to have 'guy time' b/c I think it is important as well. I know I need my girl time. It really makes me miss him (when I do get the chance to get away).

ediep replied: my DH hardly had guy time. Occasionally, he will meet up with his buddies, but its pretty rare. He goes to a lot of work functions, golf outings, and work dinners. He evn had to travel for a few days every few months, he counts that as guy time. I don't get too much girl time....maybe 1 night every few months.

Josie83 replied: Jason could have "guy time" if he wanted it but to be honest he never really wants it. he'll go out with his friends but he always rings me and checks on Cassie wub.gif As we're only 21 a lot of our friends just want to go out and get drunk and Jason says he's not into that any more, he'd rather spend time with me and Cassie and let's face it a hangover and a two-year-old aren't the perfect match! rolleyes.gif He spends a time with his brother Blaise if he can, but those two love having Cassie with them so she's usually in on it too! He's so good about letting me have time with my sisters and friends . . . he's so sweet! wub.gif xx

TANNER'S MOM replied: My husband works 4 days and is off 4 days. WHat is good about that is he can have his guy time while I am working, and when I get home he has went hunting or visting with his friends. So he is ready for family time, and can occasionly give me my time to myself.

kit_kats_mom replied: I was voted "the coolest spouse ever" by my DH's friends. rolling_smile.gif

I have been known to bake a cake, make some salsa and send him, and the food, off unexpectedly to a friends house to watch football. I have ulterior motives though. I really like my "alone time" and I can clean the house much more efficently when he's gone.

darrylswifeskylersmom replied: my parents watch skyler sometimes so I can have a night out ...
darryl goes fishing with the boys on the weekends

redchief replied: I've found I get less "guy" time as I've aged. Family time has become much more important to me. Working so much I spend as much time with the guys as I do at home. When I have a choice; I want to be home.

Am I old or what? laugh.gif
