All of the Teething Baby mommies!! - Help me please...

jdkjd wrote: When is the teething going to end! Bailey is working on teeth 5 and 6 (her top canines) and she hasn't slept much at night for a week.

Ryan and I are starting to lose it. We are giving her Motrin every night before she goes to bed. And I ordered the teething tabs. What exactly are the teething tabs anyway??

Any other tips?? She can't really chew on anything while she's sleeping. And she seems to fall asleep ok, it is just that she wakes up an hour later screaming...

Ugh.

Julie (jem0622) replied: Let her chew on a frozen bagel. That helps. Or put frozen banana in the mesh teether (you can buy it at TRU).

Why are you ordering the tabs? Why not go to Wal-Mart and buy them? They are in the herbal section. Small frosted plastic bottle w/ pink and blue on it. Hyland's teething tabs. I am on my second bottle. Wee hoo! They work. I cannot tell you how, but they do.

Have you tried rubbing benadryl on her gums? Or jack daniels? Just dip your finger in the bottle (get a sample bottle from the liquor store) and rub it on the hot spot. Alcohol numbs the gums!

Make sure, also, that after every 4 hrs that she is on Motrin...give her tylenol. Perfectly safe.

Gabe has two teethers in his crib so that he has something to help him out.

BIG HUGS! BTDT! I think the top ones were the hardest for Ahshley. She has 4 on top and two on the bottom now. The teething tabs worked until they were about to pop thru the gum, but then nothing helped. Have you tried Children's Advil? My Ped recommended it for teething and it worked better than Tylenol.

ediep replied: sounds like you are doing all that you can.....teething tablets semed to work with Jason as long as I also gave him tylenol or motrin too,

Good Luck!!

supermom replied: Poor baby - no other suggestions, just a hug for both of you......

jdkjd replied: Thanks everyone! The tabs seem to help last night. If only my DH hadn't been snoring and making gross noises maybe I could have gotten some sleep.

I swear if it's not one baby, it's the other. tongue.gif

supermom replied:
LOL!! Poor Jenn - here's to some nap time today, maybe?? grouphug.gif

jdkjd replied:
I'll ask my boss...I keep thinking I need to bring a cot into work. tongue.gif

Schnoogly replied: OMG I am with you on the two babies problem---when DH won't stop snoring he gets banished to the spare bed. He knows when I poke him that I've had enough smile.gif

Children's motrin worked really well for us yesterday. Glad she is feeling a little better! Hope we get our teeth soon!!!
