About wierd kids names

I wonder that too because they aren't public records are they? I didn't think they were - here in NY you all but have to show your birth certificate to get a duplicate

As for their names I am not sure that is the case unless they use a middle name or something - more often I would think they change their names when they get older

3_call_me_mama replied: Actually in most states birth and death certificates and marriages are public record. Just go tothe town clerks office and look through the vault/file room. That along with property taxes, how much you paid for your house, what your house is worth, etc. Not a whoel lot is private.

Kaitlin'smom replied: youc an get them pretty much all birth/death records are public. my mom has gotten many when doing the family history even got some from germany when she was there.

oh and its real easy to look up county records, I have to do it all the time.
