A little early, I know.... - Halloween costumes
stella6979 wrote: Just wondering what all our kiddos are going to be for Halloween this year? Do most of them have it figured out or are they still thinking? As for Avery, she wants to be a cowgirl.
Calimama replied: Miabella is torn between a puppy, Jasmine (from Aladdin) or Baby bob. I ask her everyday and she says "mama I'm THINKIN".
stella6979 replied: Awwww....Miabella would be the prettiest Jasmine EVER!!!!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Aiden is again getting one of Tanner's old costumes. I will continue the tradition until he figures out that they aren't really "his" and starts wanting his own. He'll be Superman. I figure at 1 year old, he's not going to know any better anyways.
Tanner is unsure what he wants to be, but he's thinking about it. I'm sure it will be some sort of superhero, as usual.
mckayleesmom replied: Russell wants to be Batman and Mckaylee is still deciding.
Crystalina replied: I made the mistake of buying Izabella part of a belly dancer's outfit (the jingly things that wrap around her waist) when I was in South Beach. I thought she'd like the jingles, the color and using it for dress up but now she wants to be a belly dancer for Halloween. A belly dancer!! I'm leaning more towards a gypsy since they cover up more. She will NOT be walking the streets as a belly dancer at the age of 7.
Evan wants to be Frankenstein. That's easy enough.
stella6979 replied: Oh, I know what you mean. I had Avery be a punk rocker last year cause she didn't know any better and I always wanted to be one but my Parents wouldn't let me..LOL! This year though, she is adament about being a cowgirl. What is it with boys and Superheroes??
mckayleesmom replied: She will make a cute cowgirl.
stella6979 replied: Thanks Bri, I think so too.
Calimama replied: Thank you!!!
Jasmine was my pick but she keeps telling me that Jasmine doesn't do the Baby Bop hop and Baby bop does so Jasmine isn't that fun. I told DH he could be Barney and they could go together.
stella6979 replied: Oh my goodness.....that would be a sight to see!!!!
Bamamom replied: Tripp's going as Batman and Luke as Robin. Katie will be a princess of some sort.
Calimama replied: Oh yes, and that sight will include me walking behind DH laughing and pointing at him.
whitting713 replied: Morgan is going to be a princess. She is using one of her dress up sets (no special halloween costume this year!).
My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke says she wants to be Tinkerbell and Madison says a dinosaur. That's what they were last year though, so I'm not sure what we're going to do yet.
Brias3 replied: Ry and Aliyah actually haven't decided yet, but Mason (as usual) wants to be a superhero. I think it would be funny to have them do something "theme"-y together. I got the idea when I found Super Mario Brothers costumes online- I bought a Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach and am dying for them to wear those, but the boys aren't sold on it yet.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Oh its such a boy thing!! Even my husband is all about super heroes
Alex will be batman or venom...we already have the costumes so he has to choose between those two guys this year. In past years I got the nice oldnavy costumes...but he wont fit in them this year.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Where did you find them? Do they have Yoshi??? I LOVE Yoshi and that's close enough to a dinosaur that I could talk Madison into it.
Brias3 replied: I found the boys ones here. The Princess Peach one I found on Ebay, but it was tough. Most of the Princess Peach ones are adult sized and a bit risque I figured worse case scenario I'm going to buy her a Princess Aurora dress from Sleeping Beauty and mod the sleeves and add the turquoise jewels, etc.
I didn't see Yoshi, BUT I did see a Yoshi headpiece. I forgot where though...I'll look around and see if I can come up with it again!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: My kids are undecided. Ethan wants to be a superhero of some sort. Maddie wants to be a cheerleader or Hannah Montana....
jacobsmama replied: Jacob wants to be Batman!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Poor Wesley always gets the hand-me-downs, so he has a choice between Pooh bear or a lion. Wil wants to be a bat. Not Batman, just a bat. Came up with it all himself. I'm tempted to buy him a black leotard and tights, throw on some wings, and call it a day. DH and I were invited to a HUGE adult Halloween party, so I also need to find each of us costumes. I tried the thrift store with Wesley yesterday and had to leave after five minutes...two year olds and shopping don't mix.
sparkys2boys replied: The boys have not decided yet because they can't settle on one thing..lol. They keep changing there darn minds
grandma replied: My graqnd daughter (3.5) wanted to be a witch. So I took her to the costume store and when she saw the withces, she decided she wanted to be a princess...lol So I bought her the princess costume and now she told her mom she wants to be a witch. Luckily she gets 2 costumes each year because she wears it atleast four times. So mommy can buy the witch costume.
Our Lil' Family replied: Thomas went to a Batman birthday party last month and now insists on being Batman....that is the ONLY exposure he's ever had to it but he insists! So I guess he's being Batman.
PrairieMom replied: ben is going to be a Ninja turtle. Duh! what else would he be?!? Al is still to young to have an opinion, so I will dress her has something totally adorable. Its probably my last chance.
MommyToAshley replied: I thought Ashley would want to be Hanna Montana, but she wants to be a ghost. LOL! Silly girl. At least it will be an easy costume. She'll probably change her mind 50 times before we buy the costume, but she knows that once we buy it -- that's it. Of course, there's nothing to buy if she wants to be a ghost. I am still holding out that she will be Dorothy from Wizard of Oz one of these times.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: Emily is going as a Witch (again, she's been a witch every year since she was 2, with the exception of one year when she was a butterfly), Spencer is going as Indianna Jones and Claudia is following in her big sisters footsteps and is going as a Witch this year.
lisar replied: Lexi wants to be an Army girl, and Raygen will be what ever I decide for her this year
grandma replied: She would make a great Dorothy!!
MommyToAshley replied: I do too, and I've been trying to get her to be Dorothy for three years now. But, she always chooses something else. She loves the movie, so it might just be a little bit of rebellion... LOL. This year I will try some suttle hints, or maybe some reverse psychology.
grandma replied: You could bribe her, like by buying her a real live ToTo (sp)....lol
MommyToAshley replied: Ummm.... that's ok, she can be a ghost.
Crystalina replied: Stupid me! I talked Evan out of the Frankenstein costume last night and talked him into a mummy because we never really see mummy costumes. Then I realized that's probably because of the whole 'having to go potty' issue. Lovely. Now I have to figure this out. I may take an old pair of sweats and just sew the strips around them so he can still go potty.
My3LilMonkeys replied: That is what my mom did the year she was a mummy - white sweats and an old sheet ripped into strips for the frayed effect.
kit_kats_mom replied: Ever since last halloween, Katherine has been talking bout being a skunk. So this year, she is a skunk and L is a squirrel. I was going to make their costumes but I could not find a brown sweat suit set with a hoodie anywhere for L's. So I caved and bought them. They came in tonight and the girls tried them on. I think they are pretty cute.
BTW, K is insisting that I put a sprayer in it so she can spray people with stink. If I could figure out how to do it, I might but so far, I've had no brilliant ideas.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Sam and Abby's costumes arrived last week. So of course they have to try them on EVERY DAY. lol
Sammy is a UPS driver and Abby is a princess with a light-up dress and crown
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Taylor is going to be a farmer and Bella is going to be a cow! We saw a cow dog costume at PetsMart the other day....of course we also saw a fairy costume online and that may win out in the long haul!
Jamison'smama replied: I finally talked Jamison into being something other than Hannah Montana--although last night she really wanted to be her again. 2 girls from our street are going as her....I imagine there will be 50 before the night is over. So, now she is going as Shawn Johnson (olympic gymnist) I have the warm-up Jacket and pants and she has a read leotard and we made some gold medals for her to wear.
Jack will be a Power Ranger---the White One
