1st phase of Kylie's room done

coasterqueen wrote: Well we got Kylie's old border down, room painted and new border put up this past week. We also re-arranged her furniture and took her desk out of there to make more room since she she's using another desk in her playroom for now.

I still have to get artwork for the walls, new curtains, new bedspread and maybe a new ceiling fan. My big challenge right now is finding a bedspread I like that matches. NOT finding anything. rolleyes.gif

Here's Kylie helping paint her room

coasterqueen replied: All pink and waiting for border

coasterqueen replied: Border on and room waiting for finishing touches

luvbug00 replied: looking good! thumb.gif

coasterqueen replied: Another

coasterqueen replied: last one blush.gif

Our Lil' Family replied: SO CUTE!!!

coasterqueen replied: Thanks. Now that I'm looking at these pics, they really aren't doing the room justice. See this is what I meant in another post about colored walls, unless you have sunlight coming in the room, just regular lighting makes the room look so dark. Guess I'll get used to it. rolleyes.gif Glad I'm not sleeping in that room. happy.gif

moped replied: It is GREAT - fit for a princess!

moped replied: Has she ever fallen out of that high bed?

I love it!

mom21kid2dogs replied: thumb.gif It looks really pretty!! Cool that Kylie was helping. O likes to paint, too. Truth be told she's better at it than I am! blush.gif

ediep replied: I like it a lot!

amynicole21 replied: Looks like such a big girl room! Very pretty. thumb.gif

We have that same lamp in Sophia's room tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied:
No she's never fallen out of it in her sleep...playing on it she has. happy.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Target? happy.gif Both girls have that lamp in their rooms. Course now the shade of purple doesn't really match, but I'm keeping it.

3_call_me_mama replied: WOW! Looks great smile.gif You guys did a great job!

Kaitlin'smom replied: LOVE IT!!!! Great JOB. thumb.gif

BAC'sMom replied: thumb.gif great job

gr33n3y3z replied: Wow that room looks great

kit_kats_mom replied: great job guys! I love it.

One idea for cheap artwork that I'm doing for the playroom....I've taken some pictures of the girls favorite classic toys. K's teddy bear, some blocks that I arranged, a few other well loved stuffed animals and a train. Then I printed them out and put them in the lucite box frames that you can get cheap.

coasterqueen replied:
That's a great idea Cary. We were thinking of letting Kylie do her own artwork and matting/framing them and or maybe putting pics of the family, her and her sis, etc in a frame and letting her decorate the mat that would go around it.

Kaitlin'smom replied: or another idea what I did was I let Kait paint her own plain wood frames, she lOVED it and then found things she liked on the net and printed them out....I can see if I have pic her and post one or two of what I used. I got the frames for 1 a piece it really was cheep and great art.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: It's pretty, Karen. thumb.gif So, you're gonna have to find a new quilt? sad.gif Her quilt is so pretty. What is on the border? Can you find something to match it? Sorry I can't really see the border. blush.gif

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: I really like that, it is so cute!!!

coasterqueen replied:
Yeah I'll have to find a new quilt. rolleyes.gif NOT having luck with that either. Guess I should have picked that first, then the wall color and border. blush.gif

The border is purple and pink. The background is purple with pink and purple flowers with silver sparkly touches throughout it.
