Who may enter:
Children 3-8 years of age, with permission of a parent or legal guardian who is a Parenting Club Member and a legal resident of the United States or Canada, excluding Quebec.
How to Enter
If you have not done so already, join Parenting Club. Joining Parenting Club is free. When you join, you must give a valid and working e-mail address. Children between the age of 3-8 years of age should write an original Christmas or Holiday story or Letter to Santa. Children may have parents type as s/he tells the story.
Writing Guidelines
- 500 words max.
- All contest entries must be submitted by December 15th, 2005.
- All work must be original, unpublished, and the sole property of the person submitting. The story should be written or told from a child between the ages of 3-8 years of age.
- By submitting the story, the parent or legal guardian is granting permission to enter the child’s submission and publish the original work on the Parenting Club website.
Where to submit your story?
Send your story by email to holidaycontest@parentingclub.com. Be sure to include in the email:
- The Author (child’s name)
- Child’s age
- Your name (parent)
- Your Parenting Club username
- Original story/letter
- Title of submission
Judging
The Parenting Club panel of judges will select the winning story. All decisions are final.
Prize
One winner will win a Vtech Nitro Notebook. (valued at $49.99) The Nitro Notebook is a laptop-style computer with over 80 arcade-style educational games. The package includes the notebook, mouse, mouse pad, and the bonus “story time” and “sing along” cartridges.
The winner will be announced on December 19, 2005. The winning entry and all other submissions will be published on the Parenting Club website at the conclusion of the contest.

This contest is open to all members of Parenting Club that are a legal resident of the United States or Canada, excluding Quebec. Contest is void where prohibited.
